This hard drive works a s advertised. Simply plug and play.My Mac connected with little effort. Good product.

Gave this to my non-technical father and he had no problems setting it up. 4 months in and no mechanical problems.

At 4 TB, this drive has ample space for all your files that need backed up. The software that comes with it is kind of bloat-ware though and not user friendly. I prefer to use Seagate Disk Wizard.

I got this HDD to use as an external "off line" backup for my files. I plug it in, copy files, then unplug it and put it on the shelf. So far I am pleased, it works well for this application. Transfers are quick with USB 3.0, especially compared to USB 2.0 flash drives. It has only been about a month since I got this so I cannot speak about long term reliability. I have had good life from other Western Digital HDDs and hope this will be no exception.

If you are looking for a hard drive that can store more than you need then this is the one for you. I use it to store my GoPro content because the High Definition videos take up alot of space.

I own several External HDs, this one with 5T will let me back up my computers for a longer period on time.

Large capacity helps in backing up multiple machines. I have found that WD drives are generally more reliable than drives from other vendors. One point deducted for no on-off switch.

This external hardrive is really good, being a YouTuber and all its necessary to have an external hardrive with alot of storage space to save your videos and projects to just in case. This being 4tb for like $120-150 its a really good deal for the price plus I believe it comes with like 1tb of free storage for dropbox but I might be wrong, it also comes with a program to manage your files on the device so that's good! I give this 5 stars!

I needed to back up 3 computers, one of which contains a lot of photographs from a 26 megapixel DSLR and many HD video files. This drive has more than enough space for all of these. I knew this when I bought it, but this unit must be plugged into the wall. Because I need to move it from computer to computer, If I had to do it again, I think I would spend a little more and get one that does not need AC power, even it was not a large.

This thing holds an enormous amount of videos. Very nice back-up to keep large files off the OS drive!
