I got this because I needed more room on my Xbox one. I looked at all kinds and read a bunch of reviews before I got this. It was very simple to set up just plug it in an Xbox recognizes it. I've noticed that when I first get a new game and I have to download its content it is faster than if I was putting it on my Xbox so that is even a bigger plus. With the amount of space it has it will be a long time before I would fill it up.

I read a lot of reviews from other sites that said the HDD inside is really just a WD Green SATA desktop drive. So I gutted this when I got home and threw it in my desktop as my new multimedia/torrent drive. A cheaper alternative to buying a retail 4TB drive, although prices have been coming down since I bought it...but a GREAT deal nonetheless! Gutting the HDD WILL void the warranty though, so be sure this is really how you want to use it

This hard drive has large storage (4TB) and is reasonably priced. It is fairly bulky, but a good buy

Western digital is my favorite hard drive manufacturer. After all of the hard drives I have bought over the years (and it's been hundreds) the WD are the most reliable, have the best warranty and the best customer service for my experience. While I don't usually favor external drives, this one has performed exceptionally so far, and I have no complaints or issues. I would definitely recommend to anyone needing an external drive.

I bought this for use with my xbox one to use for game saves. It seems to have ample storage (4tb) I have used it for a month and so far so good..easy setup plenty of space.

It is reliable and simple to use in office as well as home

I purchased this unit to replace an older external hard drive because I needed the extra capacity, and I wanted the peace of mind knowing that the new unit was probably more reliable than the 7-10 year old unit it replaced. No regrets. It's definitely faster than the old one, and has worked seamlessly. I set it up as a shared HD by plugging it into my new NETGEAR Nighthawk router. No issues. Works great.

Great ease of use, perfect size for the price, and surprisingly works on my windows xp.

I have used drives from multiple brands but WD drives tend to last longer. I have also had a couple of WD drives that failed but the failure rate of WD drives is lower than others I have tried. I needed this to replace a failed 3TB backup drive from another manufacturer. It cost me about the same as what the 3TB drive did, so I got more capacity at the same price. Working good so far. Time will tell.

Bought this to add storage to my Xbox One and I couldn't be happier. Games installed on this hard drive actually load FASTER than games installed on the internal hard drive!!! I've since moved everything but apps off the internal Xbox hard drive and am very happy. :)

I own atleast 4 of these, plus one of the cloud versions. As a photographer I am constantly needing backup storage for photo files.. these work great for backing up images by year (or however you choose to backup). I have never had a problem with any of mine, the only time I've even had a question WD support was awesome.

I have had a couple of these for ~10 months and have not had any issues with the drives. Plenty of storage space, great for HD video files and photos. Note: There does seem to be an auto-sleep issue where they sleep faster than they should despite the settings, but this is only present with my Win10 upgraded device.

bought this to replace a failing 1TB drive. Decided to go with the bigger drive since it was so cheap and this seems to be doing a good job. The only problem I have with it is if i try to boot my xp laptop while the drive is connected, the computer will hang at the bios screen. I don't know why or how to fix it. if i disconnect the drive the laptop boots fine then i just reconnect the drive. Not a big deal but would be nice to find a fix. Otherwise this has been a great drive.

I am a law student, and I have two computers. One is for school work, and the other is used for movies and games. Both computers were running out of space when I purchased this, and I am so happy that I did. It was able to hold everything off both my computers and able to hook it up to my tv to watch things on it. I would recommend this to anyone, in fact, I am looking into buying another one.
