I am a law student, and I have two computers. One is for school work, and the other is used for movies and games. Both computers were running out of space when I purchased this, and I am so happy that I did. It was able to hold everything off both my computers and able to hook it up to my tv to watch things on it. I would recommend this to anyone, in fact, I am looking into buying another one.

Great drive for the money. Fast access, decent transfer rate, and lots of space. I was afraid it would be slow, as it's billed as a backup solution, but it definitely would be usable as an everyday documents drive. And size/price? Can't beat it.

I had maxed out my 1TB drive and it has worked very well for several years even after taking a high fall. Needed more space so decided to get another one.

When a laptop in the home started showing signs of failure, it was time to back up the data/pictures/documents. Having several devices in the house I knew a larger backup drive would be needed, so I networked it in the home network and now it's available to all of the machines now. Fast and easy, it set up right out of the box in no time at all. USB 3.0 sure speeds things up too.

4 TB is perfect for me and it can hold all of my pictures & movies. I've ripped everything you can think of from old photo albums to home movies to my dvd/BR collection, and I've still got 2 TB to spare for music and other stuff. Great device. Connects quickly and I it works fine without any hiccups.

I have been very happy with Western Digital drives over the years. I have had problems with drives from many other manufacturers, but Western Digital drives have always been reliable. With a USB 3.0 connection I get about 800 Mb/sec of throughput on file copies so the drive is nice and fast. It's pretty quiet too. Not much more to say, it's a large hard drive that works well.

This thing backed up my computer quick, I have three computers just for myself and 6 total that are in my home between my family and I and to be able to back everyone's computer up to this storage unit so they can have it just in case something happens to one of their computers (which it always seems to happen one way or the other) is great. It's fast and I have no problems with it

The WD 4 TB external drive is easy to use and quiet. The transfer rate using USB3 is fast enough to backup a typical PC in around an hour. Good value.

This drive has quite a bit of software installed upon purchase, but the USB 2.0/3.0 makes it an ease to transfer files. Adequate space for the price.
