I love it because it was easy to use and storage space is great.

I had previously bought a Seagate ex-hdd 5 TB and it wouldnt work properly with my iMac. I returned it and got this one, having used several WD ex-hdd over the last 10 years. I'm happy. I needed a great ex-hdd that could transfer between PCs and Macs and this one does it seamlessly.

This drive is super fast when used with USB 3.0 (also works with usb 2.0 but not as fast). I was able to backup my entire movie collection for safe keeping and still have room to spare. Accessing my files takes less time and the drive never stalls. Looking to buy another one soon

This drive has great capacity, a good price, and a reputation for reliability. This is my fourth WD hard drive and none of them have ever failed me. The inclusion of a basic version of Acronis True Image is a bonus, too.

I have tried several external drives through the years and have only gotten rid of my WD to pass along as I upgrade to higher capacity drives. While others have failed to reach the "hand it down" stage, my WD drives have always outlived their usefulness to me and have continued on to work for those who I have passed them on to. WD all the way for me!

This is my second My Book for Mac. It's nice that it's performatted for the Mac so you don't have to go to the bother of reformatting a large drive before you are able to use it with the Mac. I just hope the 4GB version is a bit more robust than the 3GB version was as I had the 3GB version fail after simply being knocked over while spinning by a cat.

Easy to set up and use. I'm using it with an iMac, so I reformatted the drive before I used it, although it would have worked fine right out of the box. Reformatting for Macintosh was recommended, and only took a couple minutes. The instructions were easy to follow. PC users can use this as is with nothing to do except hook it up and plug it in.

This is a great drive. Western Digital is known for there reliability and customer service. This company has been great throughout the years for me. Plenty of storage space at a pretty good price. USB 3.0 means faster transfer rates.

I pricematch'd this from Amazon for $114.00. I bought this for my Xbox One. I was a little worried the set up would be difficult. You just plug in, and the xbox prompts up a pop up asking if you would like to format it for the xbox. Takes no more than 1 min. Super fast.

The WD 4TB My Book external HDD has fulfilled all my expectations and needs i sought in a new external HDD. I bought it to expand the storage capacity of my laptop. I wanted to be able to quickly move files and access them as well as have room for the future. For the price I may even consider an additional 4TB My Book when I fill this one up.
