Great product. I've had this drive for about 6 months now. Good storage at a reasonable price. Only issue I've found is that it sometimes wakes up my computer from sleep mode every now and again when the drive spins up, but I don't find that a deal breaker in any sense.

If you want this as a backup I found the software to be awful. I have Clickfree software that works on any external drive and use it. Drop and drag would work with it also but the software it comes with if awful....takes a extreme long time and after the second time I just removed the software and went to my own. As a plain drive it okay. I found I can get the same size drive for about the same price or less

Currently have it connected to me Xbox one. Placed all the games and apps I had installed on it. The processing time seems faster. Put the halo mc collection,cod aw plus four expansions, destiny plus expansions and still has plenty of room for future games. Recommend to any gamer or anyone wanting to store music videos or pictures.

WD has been more reliable for me than their primary competitor. This drive seems like a solid performer and easily set up on my MacBook Pro. Unless you want to match the Mac chassis I see no reason to pay more for the Mac version. I ignore the bundled software anyway.

Got this to expand the storage for my Xbox. Plugged it in, answered a couple of questions, and was on my way. Definitely faster than the internal 1TB hard drive. Been using Western Digital hard drives for nearly twenty years, and have yet to be disappointed.

Using this as an external HD for XBox ! Allows for multi User game saves. Also have two 3TB units - one for work / 1 for home computer. No complaints and have had them for 2 years. Previously had a Seagate 750MB unit with continuous software issues...then it finally crashed and the HD was unrecoverable. Lost over 2000 photos :(

I bought this to replace a 1TB that proved to be a bit small for my needs. I use this one as a network back-up drive for my PC and Surface Pro 3. It works great. Easy to set up, chose not to use WD back up program, it was just a sample of a one that cost extra. My Netgear Nighthawk Router has program that works quite well.

I've used other WD drives and have always been happy with their performance and reliability. There was a time when I used Seagate but every Seagate drive I've had has failed and two in less than a year. Of the WD drives I've had, no failures with one of these drives being 3 years old. I would highly recommend this drive.
