I needed a hard drive for Time Machine backups with a lot of space. This guy delivers. I've had no issues thus far, and have generally been pleased with the longevity of all my WD My Books that I've purchased. (I'll never trust a Seagate again.)

I read a lot of reviews several places before buying this hard drive as an expansion for my son's Xbox One. I queried up what the best external drives were for this purpose and found this. It was super easy to install and it's working great.

Love this as a backup drive. USB 3.0 is VERY fast. I use it primarily as a photo backup drive and download 75 to 90 gigs at a time. Usualy would handle it at night because I hate watching it for hours, not with the 3.0, it's done in no time. Has plenty of storage size as well. loaded thousands of photo's and hundreds of hours of video onto it and still have plenty of room to go.

I buy only Western Digital drives since the rate of failure is much less than other brands in my experience (10 years IT support) but still be sure to back up your data. I am using these to back up my server. It's a lot of storage for the money.

I needed a hard drive extension for my Xbox One and I found this in the store. After paying only $120 for it on sale, all I had to do was plug it in and do a 2 minute setup. This hard drive is huge and very easy to setup. I highly recommend it.

This external hard drive is extremely easy to use, just plug into power and plug into your computer. That's all! It also is compact and has a very nice design in my opinion, very sleek!

My day job is to support people and their computers. And some of my customers tell me that this is the drive to have! It's fast and simple to setup, especially for a Mac user! Also, I could not beat the price for the amount of storage you get!

I now have 3 WD external hard drives ... a 2 TB and two 4 TBs. I've uesd Seagate in the past but I prefer WD. They are reliable and reasonably priced. I do wish the included software was a bit more flexible though. All in all, a great product!

Love it...this is my 6th WD Drive..500gb, 2t, 3t, (2) 4t and a 2t My Cloud...yes, I am a digital hoarder and these drives make my life wonderful...and keep my laptop memory free and fast.

using it for backup data of my PC before it crashed, its windows you ll never know :). It comes with utility software that can help you create the auto backup of of data ( but you have to purchase advance license for $20-$30 from WD :( )

I have been using WD Hard Drives since day 1. Reliable and sturdy. They run and work WELL past their warranty. You also have the option to extend your warranty for a very small price.

I have at least 12 of these. I use them for archiving video files. So far so good. I've been using them for years. I don't really run them very much because I just copy data to them in pairs but I haven't had to replace one yet!

I purchased the external hard drive to backup up one of my important hard drives. The installation is easy, just plug and play. To set it up as a backup is super simple too. It took maybe 10 minutes to get everything setup and running. WD makes a great product and I have never been disappointed. I still have a WD passport from 2009 that is working. I will probably pick up a couple more of these to backup my other hard drives. I would definitely recommend this if you need a backup or if you just want extra space.

This is an awesome external hard drive. Easy to use. So much storage for such a great price!! Very satisfied with this purchase!!

Easy to install and has large storage means quite doesn't take up much space on the desk "zzzzzzzzzzz

I like the idea of redundancy. Hook up via USB, setup the apps, and you're good. Nice to know it's on the case of backing up my data.

WD My Book was easy to set up and is performing backup right out of the box.IT is a very quiet drive. I know it is operation with the blinking of the drive light. I would recommend this purchase for its value, and easy of use

Works well on my apple/mac setup. Took a lot of time for initial time machine backup but now does exactly what it is supposed to. Always back up with 3 different types though, we lost many pics in past and will now be more careful

purchased the 4tb works great only needed it to transfer some files but now i use it for my xbox one. and let me tell you it loaded games 10-40 seconds faster then the current hard drive in the xbox one. well worth the price
