I really like this external hard drive. I bought it for an external hard drive on my Xbox One and it has been working great so far. Maybe I can actually save my games now instead of being half full after one....

I used this drive to consolidate several 1tb drives and have had zero problems so far. I use it at least twice a day for backup on my Mac and have a partition for my iTunes library and it works like a charm.

Bought this to use as additional storage for our Xbox One. Plugged into Xbox with the cable included. Formatted it (which was very quick). The Xbox recognized it immediately. Everything is working great.

I bought this to expand the memory of my Xbox one. It was so easy to hook up All I did was pull it out of the box, plug in the .power and then the usb. I formatted it and it was ready to use in minutes.

Good luck so far. I use it to backup some important stuff as well as not so important stuff. The 4tb size is plenty spacious for big files as well as small. Caught this puppy on sale. So far I'm happy.

I'VE BEEN USING THESE FOR 12 YEARS AND THOUGH THEY ARE NOT PERFECT, THEY'RE THE BEST AROUND. THIS 4GB IS FAST AT WRITING, 7.5GB IN 1 MINUTE, OR ABOUT 125MBYTES/SEC AS I JUST MEASURED WITH A STOPWATCH ON USB3. OF THE 16 DRIVES I BOUGHT, I HAVE HAD 2 WD MYBOOOK DRIVES FAIL OVER THE 12 YEARS, BOTH 9-10 YEARS AGO (WHEN THEY WERE CHANGING THE DESIGN EVERY FEW MONTHS). THE ELECTRONICS IN THE BOX FAILED, NOT THE HARD DISKS, SO I WAS ABLE TO SLAP IT IN AN IDENTICAL MODEL AND RECOVER. WORD TO THE WISE: IF THE DATA IS CRITICAL, BACK IT UP TWICE BETWEEN 2 DRIVES, THESE ARE SO CHEAP ITS WORTH IT FOR THE PEACE OF MIND. AND REMEMBER THE MARKETING SAYS 4TB, BUT THE REALITY OF BINARY LOGIC YIELDS 3.63TB FORMATTED SPACE ON THIS DRIVE!

It's hard to rave about a hard drive, but I give it 5 stars because it does exactly what it's supposed to do. It doesn't have connection issues, its always available and has tons of storage. So yeah, 5 stars.

It's a hardrive. It works. Nice size for backing up all of my photographs. I also put my movies on it and have it wired to my router to use wirelessly through out the home. Read and write times are quick and reliable. I'm running several Macs in the home and a linksys AC router. Overall great amount of space and quality.

Offers good transfer speeds when connected to a USB3 port. Offers plenty of storage space. I keep this connected to a router, which gives me access to my files from multiple devices on my home network. The down side to this setup is the slow transfer rates across my local network, but that's not the fault of the drive.

good price lots of storage easy to use! Great for pictures, documents, back up, extra HD if your PC is getting too full!

I bought this external hd for the specific purpose of xbox one storage, and it works excellent. Installation was a snap, and now (as a bonus) my load times have significantly decreased. Awesome value!

This is the second WD my Book which I have bought. I bout the first one years ago and it still works so I feel the product is reliable but after I bought the second My Book I had to re-format it to work on my Mac. the guy at geek squad said it would work with out reformatting but he was wrong. It works fine though.

We bought this for our XBOX 1 to add extra storage and I was amazed how much of a "plug & play" setup it was. Now the uploads are extremely fast!

Long time wd customer. Great products. This was a black.Friday deal 4tb for $99. Awesome deal for the tb. Was able to consolidate a couple of 1 & 2 tb and move to this. Slim and reliable. Go Wd!

This is a great way to add additional storage for the Xbox One. However, if you connect to your Xbox one the drive itself will never spin down or sleep. Talked to Xbox and they advised me to just unplug the HD when the Xbox was not in use. I tried reaching out to WD but have not heard anything back yet.

This is my WD purchase after a long time. One of my old external my book drives died with a lot of data in it. Since then I haven't bought a WD for almost 6 years. This one I wanted as a backup to my 4 Tb my cloud. So far it's been great. Time will ultimately judge the quality. Till then hoping for the best.

Picked this up to replace a failed Seagate (yeah I know, typical of Seagate) drive. Works excellent, quick to replace the drive that was failing. Large amount of storage space is a major plus!

I bought this because I filled the internal hard drive. With this drive, my system loads things faster and seems to run smoother than before. Anyone with a One sound definitely look into this.

This is my third WD MyBook drive. All three work very well for what they were bought for. Backup. Have never had a problem with them and this one is also used for extra storage. Nice to have.
