Used WD before, they still have the most economical product out there for external storage. Tech sites virtually all recommend this as the number one product.

Installed with no issues on USB 3.0 interface, which is dramatically faster than USB 2.0. Nice software also included. Hopefully it will outlast my internal drives!

Needed to store lots of large video files (~25gb each) and this does the job well. 4tb is quite a bit of space and will at least hold a year of media for our church

I needed a new external hard drive to accommodate thousands of pictures and videos we take on our cameras and phones. The WD My Book was perfect and the price was very reasonable compared to other stores. Set-up was simple; no problems whatsoever; and it blends in well with our PC and it takes up very little space. I highly recommend this product. I ordered online for pick-up; the process was so efficient.

I have only been using this 4TB drive for a few weeks. Without using test equipment, I do not have a reasonable basis for estimating speed. So far it has done everything I could reasonably ask of it and for the price I am pleased with the purchase at this point.

I have always turned to Western Digital for reliable, fast storage options. This drive does not disappoint. Now, I just wish my new laptop supported drives this big, but it doesn't. That is not the drive's fault. I would choose this drive again anytime.

This is great for someone who needs more storage for the Xbox One. Everything is faster with the external hard drive. 3.6 TB is available after formatting.

I have several of these portable drives. I store all my videos and photos on them. Being a photographer, it is nice to have everything close at hand if needed.

bought this drive to back up my MAC, but with all the storage capacity, I was able to allocate a partition to Time Machine, Misc, and a Boot Disk (partition)

It's a external HD so you get what you pay for, kinda gets hot and alittle loud but maybe i got a weird unit. I love the extra space and got it on sale, so I can't complaint hat much I guess. overall a good purchase but there are better ones on the market.

Everything i come to expect from WD prroduct, super price from Bestbuy! Bonus- being able to set up my own wifi cloud server. Can't get more secure than that.

I just plugged it and it recognized it right away,and that was it in seconds it said done u can start using it. So simple to use and the price was right.
