I have two of these. I love them. They hold a ton and are so easy to use!

Bestbuy offered a great price compared to other retailers I had checked. This is a nice 4TB USB3.0 external drive. It has a very helpful automatic shutdown feature that shuts down the hard disk when it is idle for some time. This will help maintain the HDD for a longer lifetime. Access speed is very good, of course takes a few extra seconds when it wakes up after a while, but other than that, no speed problems. Noise and case vibration level is very low.

need more storage? yeah 4tb will do... for now. this thing runs quiet. at around $100 it was a great deal

So I purchased this particular External Drive for the simple fact that it was on sale. 4TB is pretty big and I'm using this a secondary digital backup of all my Xbox One games. This external drive does exactly what it's suppose to do. It's big, it's bulky but it is light. I feel that the drive is somewhat slow but I'm just using it for storage. I recently switched to LaCie external drives for all my important stuff. I actually have two LaCie drives. One for my 360 and the second for my X-Box One. I'm happy with this product.

Have had great reliability with WD externals in the past - no failed drives. Bought this as a TimeMachine backup for iMac. Hooked up to USB 2.0 port which will limit speed, but speed is not a concern for me with dedicated backup. Excellent price for capacity. I have a separate WD thunderbolt external drive for a referenced Aperture library that is 700 GB and growing - and that is lightening fast with no delay; as if on internal hard drive.

Simple to use. I opened the box, connected it to the Xbox One, it requested to format the drive. Once complete, I had 4TB of external hard drive space as expected. I have not seen any lag or speed loss when playing full games off of this drive. I recommend for increasing consol HDD space.

We all know the 500 GB hard drive that comes with our Xbox is not enough, especially when games can be up to 50 GB to install. I am so happy with this purchase as this external hard drive is 4 TB and runs fast than the original hard drive. It is small, quiet, and fast. I have about 30 games on it now and am only at about 15%. Must have for avid gamers!

I wanted a quick and easy drive to backup my projects. I have a 2010 Mac Pro with a USB 3.0 card and the two work well together. Speeds are as good if not better than my esata drives. Editing video using USB 3.0 external drives is not recommended but I have opened FCP7 projects and played 720P & 1080P footage for quick reference without any issues.

The software for this external hard drive is very easy to install. You get super reliable storage and performance with this device. It compares as well or better than other makes of external hard drive. The warranty is excellent and updates are provided regularly. I have not had any problems with any WD drive that I have purchased and have found the value to unbeatable. I would be very surprised to have any problem with a WD drive.

My daughter asked for a hard drive for Christmas I knew she didn't have wifi so I looked around for a hard wired version and found this one to be a really nice buy and lots of memory. She and I sat down and within about 30 minutes had it set up and ready to back up her laptop and move pictures that were taking up a lot of memory on her laptop. I am glad I got this for her and it is easy for her to use when I am not with her.

Plug & Play, quiet, does not run nearly as hot as other *cough-cough Seagate-cough* drives on the market. Added to my "Drive Bender" pool attached to my Home Server without any fuss or trouble. Just more and more storage.

I'm using my external hard drive for xbox one use exclusively. It loads games faster than the internal xbox hard drive. The amount of storage is perfect and needed for storing my games. This hard drive has the cheapest price per gigabyte and is well worth the money.

Purchased on Black Friday for $99, my son was out of room on his Xbox one and you can't beat 4tb of storage for this price! It sent up in less than 5 minutes and is very quiet and dosent take up a lot of space. No problems so far and my my son is ecstatic about not having to delete games all the time to download a new one! Highly recommend this to anyone looking for affordable external storage!!!!

We purchased this drive to accompany our WD MyCloud product and allow for automatic back-ups of the MyCloud safe points. We've been extremely impressed. Although we mainly use it for backups, there has been an occasion where I'll connect to the drive directly. The USB 3.0 connection is very fast and the drive is rock solid. Next time the unit goes on sale, we're buying additional units for our home office.

GF and I wanted more storage space for our XBox One and had heard the My Book drives were a great option. After looking online and on Best Buy's page to read the reviews, we went ahead and grabbed one. We've been very happy with the drive so far, basically hookup and format for the console. I definitely recommend getting this drive and will buy another for our movies at some point down the line.

This is the easiest and simplest external hard drive I have ever used. It is absolutely ideal to expand your storage for the Xbox One, and load times are supposedly reduced as compared to playing games from the internal hard drive. I can't say conclusively that this is true, but it certainly isn't any slower. This was the most cost effective way to quintuple my storage with a reliable, quality part.
