Exactly What I Was Looking For

Nice Backup good price

Its extra and is the same thing....its just already been formatted. Works well for time machine on my Imac. It obviously would work just as well for a PC.

Problem free, speed is good, lots of space
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had too many disk laying around and it was painful to manage all the archive all around those disks (200GB, 320GB, 2x500GB, 250GB, 1TB, 4x72GB, 2x120GB etc). Got this and I have everything in one place (still have additional copies of some files. I hope it lasts. Most of my seagates did not last long, hopefully this WD will last longer. It looks nice on the desk. Extremely silent compared to some of my NAS disks. Speed is good in Linux, better on Windows (due to NTFS). Recommended. As an additional note, I've got this at the store for ~ USD 116.

Good price for the amount of storage

The only complaint I have is that the hard drive in the unit is a 5400 rpm (not 7200 rpm) drive. Given the speed of the USB 3.0 interface, a 7200 rpm drive would be nice, although I suspect that is one of the reasons why the drive was not as expensive as some others.

Easy to use

It has plenty of room and was basically plug and play. Secure and we can reach it from any computer in the house through our personal home network.
