Used as extra storage for an Xbox One. Easy to set up. Formatting was straight forward.

this product does what is expected. the only downside is that it advertises as cloud storage, but until you open it u and read, the cloud is extra fees. but the regular storage is simple to hook up and works fine.

I use this HDD to backup all my pictures and movies from my camera and phone. Lots of space for high resolution pictures and HD videos.

I chose the Western Digital drive over some of the others even though it was a little more expensive for the following reason -- reliability, I recently had a different manufacturer's external drive fail on me, and I lost a ton of data. According to all the reviews and benchmarks I could find, if the the WD drives fail, they'll do so quickly, while still under warranty. Otherwise they'll work forever. For a backup drive, this is what you want (unless you make a backup of your backup!)

Easy to set up and install this disc drive. I used this to supplement internal hard drive, as a back-up for video and photos that I wanted to off-load from internal drive. USB 3 drive works well with video capture program.

4TB external USB 3.0 hard drive works great for storage.

I use it as an external HD for my Xbox One, all reviews say that it has a faster read speed than the stock HD in the Xbox, resulting in slightly faster load times, so I moved all of my games to this HD. Works perfectly.

Love this item ! Hubby says this brand is more reliable in his work place than other brands they have tried. I don't know about that but I do know I have been using mine for well over a year on my Xbox One with no trouble whatsoever, so I bought one for my husband to hook up to his Xbox One. It is great especially if you have a LIVE account. You can download your monthly games to this with no trouble at all with plenty of room left for more games. Very easy set up and operation of the item !

Worked great for my iTunes media backup and easy access

This MyBook by WD is a very dependable backup device. A Very fast operating system with a very Stealth type footprint (not bulky) and is very easy to setup. Just follow the directions and you're off and running.

Great hard drive. Very quiet and easy to install. I used it for my xbox one and it works like a charm. Definitely recommend

I've had hit-or-miss experiences with WD drives in the past, so hoping this one works. The one lesson I've learned is that these days, whether you're buying Seagate or WD, always keep a backup, as it's not a matter of if these drives will eventually die but when.
