I purchased this drive to use for backups of my main computer (Apple laptop). I did not need the fastest drive around or the faster connection speed of Thunderbolt, so this affordable USB3 drive meets my requirements. It is 30% to 40% faster than my previous backup drive which had a FireWire 800 interface.

I am using it at home. Took bit of configuration and patience to copy my existing data to the drive. But works well as expected. All of my devices connect to it and share files. Copying data to it is very slow over the Wi-Fi network and would recommend using a switch to transfer data to the drive instead.

nice speed for a additional drive. but too many added hard drives DBR boot And WD Locker don"t know what they"re for. Hard to figure out,but if you want a complete backup for every file its perfect !

I am very happy with my 4GB WD USB drive. Performance is very good, easy to install. No problems at all.

I got this HD for use with my Xbox One. It works great and now have a I have a ton of space for games and downloads.

I'm currently using it with my xbone. Awesome storage option for Windows pc or xbone and they have great ratings on hard drives (look up failure rates between Seagate/hitachi/western digital).

This drive is quiet and dependable. It works well with my iMac.

I'm using this for my Xbox one. I shouldn't have to uninstall a game ever again. Works good. No slow Downs. It's been 2 months hopefully it lasts.

I have several of these 4GB external hard drives by Western Digital. I tried a cloud based backup service but it just didn't work. I decided it would be far less trouble to just buy a bunch of these drives to make several copies of my files. I have devised my own backup plan and it is working great so far. For the price per gigabyte, these are the best deal. What makes them even better is their reliability. These are the drives to buy!

A very very good hard drive. Good quality for a good price. Western Digital is a very trusted brand, have had very very little failure with WD drives, is the brand I always personally buy.

I would recommend this external hard drive to every person out there... For its price, it has all the features for a gamer and an avid art/pictures collector! Can't go wrong with this product

I chose the 4 TB over the 3 TB due to the reliability ratings. I use it for storing my Mp3s and videos.

The product is great. The storage capacity is amazing. Bought it when I was visiting Tucson, AZ. Beautiful store.

When storing pictures and files for the long term I only trust Western Digital. The USB 3.0 interface makes transfers quick and easy. This is the 3rd "My Book" from Western Digital as the other two are filled to capacity with important backup's. Some of the other brands may be a little cheaper but I have had the least drive failures with the Western Digital purchases. Best Buy always has a competitive price and easy local store pickup.

It's bulky, so if you're looking for something to transport back and forth there are other options. However, this is reliable, affordable and I am using it to back up a business server.

I bought this because I wanted external HD for all my pics and videos, it is really good and I even partitioned with El Capitan OS X, and I haven't had any problem with it. So far so good.

The product works as advertised. The USB 3 connector is much faster than the USB 2 connected drives I used in the past. I clean enough off my hard drive so i could replace it with a SSD drive.

Brought this to backup large files at work. very handy and works great.
