Connected this unit to a new server running Essentials 2012 r2 and used the backup software that came with it and it works just fine.

It works very well. And so far, it is still working. However, smartware was very confusing to use. Not user friendly. But whatever

We got this hard drive on Black Friday, and we have been quite satisfied with it. No problems, works well, trustworthy brand.

The only problem with them is the layout of the drive. Standing up like they do with no base makes them unstable unless on a solid desk. I just left the plastic bottom they came with to make it a bit more stable.

I bought this drive about 3 weeks ago and I have to say, this is one of the best drives I 've ever bought. I quick and silent.

I got this drive to store all my movies from DVD so my family does not have to get discs out to watch a movie just push play.

Backup book is very light (compared to an old 250gb version I have). The backup process was automatic and very easy and fast. I got it on Black Friday at a great price to back up all of our computers and gadgets.

Simple plug and play. Didn't bother with the included software getting transfer speeds of 90Mb/s+ nearly all of the time on large files. be sure to place on a stable surface so you don't tip it over in passing and allow air space on the sides during operation t gets warm.

One of the easiest HD to set up was a little confuse over special setup but customers service was on the job with no ease

This product is very helpful. I use it to for the Xbox one,and it was easy to set up.

I find that as long as I take good care of the drive, it will last. I had one that still works, and I've had it for years.

Bought on sale well worth it. 4TB is when the price per TB goes down so this is the perfect HDD. Im using it on my Xbox one.

It seems like a good product, haven't used it long, I backed up my music, pictures and videos and haven't had a problem yet!

I purchased this external drive to use with TimeMachine on my iMac. The 4TB of storage and the drive speed/response time are great. Reformatting the drive for my Mac was a breeze. I recommend this drive for those looking for an external backup drive, Mac or Windows.

I needed this when XBox One updated their software to allow for external memory. It's size (physical) is perfect to discreetly go in my cabinet. I've never had a problem with WD and have had not had problems with sound, heat, etc. Good value and exactly what I needed.

It reliable and meets my needs for storage and ease of use.

Easy to use, lots of space for the price. Would recommend.
