I bought this drive to add storage to my Xbox One and it works great! Runs quietly and has given me no problems! Would recommend it for anyone who wants a big storage device for your Xbox One or Computer.

This external hard drive is just what I needed to hold all of my music, pics and videos! It's kinda bulky on my desk but they are getting smaller so I'm sure in a few years they will be even better.

Very easy to connect to and format for use with the Xbox One, made the console run considerably faster as well.

I needed a large drive to backup the 4TB MyCloud I have and this works perfect for it. In addition, I use it to backup my computers using Clonezilla. Black Friday price was only $100, what a deal.

I really like having this drive to back up the files on my computer using the included WD software. Its fast, quite, and gives me plenty of space. One note though for Windows 7 users, like myself, if you plan on using windows backup software you will need to format the drive to 512 bytes (before loading anything onto it, since it will clear the drive) for it to work or the backup will fail. This applies to any external drive greater than two terabytes I believe. Just thought this would save some of you the inevitable headache of having to search online like I did.

I've used a number of WD My Book drives over the past few years after learning the hard way not to store everything on your desktop PC. I run several of these to keep an extensive collection of music/movies and personal photos and videos. The drives are easy to install and utilize. They work well with PC's, especially if you don't store a great deal on your computer (or can not). Highly recommend using this if you want to backup or store your personal media or files off your PC.

I use it for my xbox one, the 500 gb that came on the console wasn't enough. This 4tb hard drive is the best thing for me. I currently have 10+ AAA titles stored on it and another 10 indy games and no lag, no having to delete stuff off my internal hard drive, nothing just install and install some more.

I got this on sale on black friday and started using it right away. It's really easy to use just plug it in and your ready to go. You have 4tb of storage to save all your important files.

WD produces the best hard drives on the planet. The newest iteration of the 4TB My Book family lives up to the hype. With transfer speeds between 60MB/s (yes Megabytes per second not Megabits) and 110MB/s on USB 3.0, this hard drive is very very quick. Even the data hoarder wouldn't find it frustrating to move tons of data to this drive. I definitely recommend it to anyone that needs a ton of storage space. That having been said, what's not so great is the software that comes with it. I'm never a fan of software that comes on hard drives. In fact the 2nd thing I do (after running a hard drive test on the drive) is delete the software. For people that just want to use this as a backup drive, the software is for you. It makes it easy to backup your data and encrypt the drive. Since I don't use this hard drive for backup but rather for extra storage, I don't need the backup software or the encryption software. Encrypting any hard drive with a password always makes me nervous because what happens if that encryption software gets corrupted or YOU forget your password to unlock the drive or you can't run the unlocker software because you plugged it into a computer in which the user does not have admin rights? Then you can't get access to your data.

This is perfect for what I was looking for. Big enough to partition 4 computers on while being fast and reliable. Good deal for the price.

I've got two of these. One is a backup for the other. They have worked flawlessly...of course now that I say this I probably jinxed myself. They are fast, reliable, and nearly silent.

Bought this for my Xbox One. Hooks up in the back USB port, it asked me to format it, took about one minute, maybe less. Works flawlessly. Doesn't make a sound either which is nice.

I got this because my hard drive on my iMac was full. After formatting, I copied a ton of stuff over and now my iMac runs properly again. There is tons of storage for whatever you need.
