It's easy to install and use. Though I already had a backup program, this comes with its own and needed little setup to adapt to using my app.

Install was easy. Changes are easy. Been running for 3 months- no problems!!

I bought this drive for a Mac and I couldn't be happier with it. It comes pre formatted for a PC, but you can use the Mac Disk Utility to make it work.

This is my 4th WD external hard drive. Never had any problems with any of them. Great price for the amount of storage. Great for backing up information.

I recently ran put of hd space on my Xbox so i picked up one of these and it wirks great and really easy to install. Highly recommend.

WD drives always have fared better than seagate drives in terms of reliability in my experience and this is no exception. Great value.

I turn on my computer install the USB 3.0 harddrive to USB 3.0 port and it works. After, I'm done testing it, I turn off the computer. Later, I turn back on the computer and the computer tells me a problem about the hardware. I keep rebooting the computer and the problem doesn't go away. I unplugged my USB 3.0 Harddrive and my computer works fine. This is sad, I mean USB 3.0 harddrive technology should work on USB 3.0 port but it doesn't. When I use USB 2.0 Harddrive on USB 2.0 port it works fine. New technolgy doesn't always mean better.

Gave as a gift to son he is very happy with it now he backs up his work

This is the third of these drives that I have purchased - I have no complaints. The only way these could be better is if they were SSD!

Love it!!!! The price was great. Has lots of memory for my precious files. Its not small but its not big. Fits and stands perfect on my desk top.

My first external hard drive from WD still loads and works faster than any of the progressively newer versions and models of the product I have bought. I still do not understand why that first one runs on my Macs and PCs but newer ones have to be formatted specifically for one or the other.

Needed to get a bigger external hard drive because I ran outta room on my 3TB so I saw Best Buy had a 4TB on sale. So I bought 2 to play it safe.

Very simple and fast to set up and use. Will continue to buy this brand/priduct for external storage!

Does a good job as a backup drive. Nice clean look easy to store.

Can't beat WD for reliability an this is no exception. Fast transfer speed makes it a must have for storing large or numerous files.

My son got one for his XBOX One and liked it. So I got one to backup my new PC. The PC recognized it right away and (once I found WHERE to start the backup in Windows!) it started working flawlessly, seamlessly, and without any personal assistance -- just the way it should be. I hope to never need its backup files, but it is always better to be safe than sorry. This worked so well, I am thinking of getting another one!

Decent interface with the configurable options I wanted. Nice drive.

This harddrive works and works very well. Copying large files to this harddrive over USB 3.0 provides about 105MB/S. Very satisfied!
