Bought this back up my many hard drives. Works great. I've always seemed to use western Digital drives since this work great with my MacBook pro.

Would appreciate if the larger hard drives could spin at 7200 RPM so I can collect video data without dropping frames. It's great for storing files obtained with faster drives.

This drive is very high storage and trnasfers data fairly quick for USB. I don't think I'll need more space for a while now :)

I picked this HD up (6TB) as a back up for my movie collection on my 4TB HD. I've had seagates and WDs and so far I prefer the WD. I got this for $100 due to a price match from Amazon and an BB employee error (to my favor). :)

Bought this because my 2TB harddrive in my pc was getting crowded. I specifically looked for something that had a lot of space and was reliable for a decent price. I was initially going to buy the 4TB but then figured why not just do the 6TB, just in case 'cause you never know. It's a plug n play device (also comes with power cable) so it was very easy to install. Its not a SSD but it has USB 3.0 so it's pretty fast. Overall very happy with my purchase and I recommend to anyone.

It works great and has so much space with the 6TB. The only thing is it locks up when your computer goes to sleep mode. You need to unlock it and then it works fine. Great to back up everything for your small business or family trips, etc.

My 5th Western Digital External Hard Drive. Never any problems & never disappointed. Prices keep dropping too.

This is a great drive with a TON of storage. I've always owned Seagate in the past, but no complaints so far with this drive. Got a great deal on it, as they were clearing these from the shelves for the newly redesigned model. Requires AC power (not just USB).

I needed to move about 2T of pictures from my older hard drive that also backed up my MAC.I upgraded from a 3T to this 6T so that my picture library and future pictures and video could be preserved.easy to install and effortless transfer of files without any hiccups.

I am paranoid about data loss. I suffered a hard crash several years ago and nearly lost it all. Since then, I have used a combination of network storage devices and USB portable drives. As I outgrew those devices, I added a 6Tb network storage device (a personal cloud) that shadows my hard drive's data folders in real time. Growing weary of 1Tb and 2Tb portable drives. I purchased this device, connected it to the USB port and use the Windows 10 backup utility on an hourly cycle, providing me with two backups. I still use the portable drives to do periodic snapshot backups as well. I highly recommend this device as either a backup unit, or for that user who just needs more disk space.
