I have been using Western Digital Hard Drives for over 7 Years. They last a long time and perform as expected, if not better than expected due to the lower price point. You definitely get your money's worth with this product.

This is my 3rd WD external hard drive I own . Must have if you are looking to buy a storage drive. Cheaper than they first came out. I back up my Mac with it and use to store my MP3'S, movies, pictures without having to have another program do it. This external hdd is no different than the regular wd external hard drive. Just that I didn't have to reformat it to use with my Mac. It's done for you.

I was looking for an external harddrive that would work with my Mac and since this product is called WD - My Book for Mac 3TB External USB 3.0 Hard Drive - Black it fit the bill. It seems to be working quite well.

I plugged in and powered on the unit. Attached to my MacBook Pro and quickly had a backup running. I really liked the simplicity and ease of setup and use!

If you need good storage this is great to have. It will keep your main hard drive from filling up. If you need to tranfer other photos,video and files to be used on another computer just unplug an plug in to another computer. The good thing about this unit is that you can set it up for mac or pc by reformatting it.

This is a great backup drive for time machine. The only thing that I don't really like is the inability to daisy chain multiple external hard drives to it because the device has limited input/output (USB-3).

I've always been a fan of Western Digital's products. They easily have the most reliable hard drives on the market. Can't go wrong with them

As previous but smaller backup hard drives... This one is no exception just plug it in and clean out the hard drive on the Mac... Perfectly....

I got a Mac Mini to do iPhone/iPad development on and after losing my setup on a Windows 8.1 machine I decided that I had to have full system backups in case the machine died or I messed something up. This device works so well with TimeMachine that I don't worry about installing new software and losing work. It is fast and doesn't interrupt my work. I still keep online backups of my RC Calculators, Drill Bit Charts, and other projects that I'm porting from the other platform, but I don't worry about having to rebuild my system if something goes wrong.

I am sticking with the WD external hard drives. My first one was a 1TB purchased 5 years ago. Now, I have a 3TB for my mac. Very reliable!

Wife bought to store pictures for her photography business. Must have been easy to install I did not hear any screaming or cursing.....

I used this to hold onto important documents and photos from my laptop in case of emergency. User friendly and reliable.

I just bought this about a month ago to go with my other hard drives and so far I have had no issues. It works just as intended.

Hard drives are pretty basic items. This one is very quiet and surprisingly fast considering the fact that I only use a USB 2 connection. So far I have had no problems with the drive.

We've only had the WD My Book for about a month, but so far it has been easy to transfer and store files on. Classic black design makes it attractive and fits in with my other tech devices. We have a WD My Book that we have been using for 10+ years and it is still working without problems, just full. So, we expect this one to be just as good.

Western Digital consistently makes dependable external hard drives at an affordable price that gives great value per TB of storage space. I haven't had one of these drives fail on me yet.

Great product, no problems, no issues at all. I buy only this brand and never had any problem. I have several and love them.

Ran out of data storage and needed much more so my Time Machine backup will work properly with confidence. Works great.

My third drive of this model. Use with software RAID in Time Machine if you want to get data protection. Write speed could be better, but at this price point it's well worth it.

Used to backup an iMac, and a MacBook Pro, and it was very easy . Also used for separate file backups.Highly recommended!
