Easy to set-up, just plug it in. Getting it to work in your network and save/send anything to it is a different story. Great product but get someone with computer smarts to help you out if you are not computer savy.

It's what I expected from WD. A good idea at a good price with the good price coming at the expense of a better designed interface. It is "up" about half the time, taking forever to reboot. And it's difficult to get into. Plays hide n seek with Windows ten .

Easy set up, easy to use...........................

very easy to set up and start using for backups. I have not measured the performance so I can't comment on that. Is very quiet.

Quick setup, it fought me a bit but I was trying to bypass their process and use it as a mapped NAS drive. Was better just following their step-by-step procedure even though their apps take a little getting used to.

Help line was useful in setting up the product. Once it was up and running, it is backing up my 3 macbooks, 1 PC laptop and mac desktop. At 3TB for size, I don't plan on out-growing this for many, many years.

Very happy with the purchase. Purch as early as a gift for my daughter and her husband. He is on the road a lot and able to see all the pictures of his newborn son.

Works great.. backing up all of my network devices..PCs, laptops, tablets and phones over the network in the background. A nice insurance policy against data loss.

I really wish the My Cloud came with a simple instruction book and an installation disk or all associated software in a zip file. Fumbling through page upon page of discombobulated instructions on the website was annoying and I finally started fiddling around trying to figure things out on my own because I lost patients. Installing many separate software packages from the web was also a bit irritating. I used the timemachine backup for pictures, video, and S notes stored on my Samsung Note 2. Rather than just bakingup the files on my phone, it took the files off of my phone. The transfer of my S notes files failed and now I have to figure out how to get them back on the phone and functioning again. Accessing pictures on the My Cloud from my phone is a pain because all you see are icons with the file name. I have tens of thousands of pictures, so the inability to view thumbnails makes wireless access from my phone virtually useless. I even download the WD Photos app, but it is not loading most of my photos. There may be easy fixes for all these things, but without user friendly, concise instructions that are logically organized it will take an eternity to track them down.

Software is comber sum and sometimes doesn't connect. Not sure what's going on there. Liked the idea of accessing my info and data anywhere but having problems backing up my PC's and devices.

I use this to stream media to wd tv boxes around my house. I also can stream to any device like my phone or tablet anywhere I want. Wish I found this sooner.

Overall this at best an OK NAS unit. It was very easy to install and the instructions for doing so, after downloading the software. Think it took me about 10 minutes total, including downloading the software to install the unit. Sadly the performance of the unit itself is at best average, since I find the unit to be pretty slow in saving and access files over a wireless connection, esp. when compared to a 2TB Seagate GoFlex that I have, which is probably twice as fast, despite being two years or so old. While I'd recommend this product, I'd do so only barely.

My PC hard drive failed and lost everything. Never again! I have my WD Mycloud on my home LAN network automatically backing up 2 PC's plus I download my iPhone photos. I also have a WD Mybook connected to the Mycloud for additional back-up. If you want something easy to use and compatible with your devices this is it, look no further. Also consider the 2TB as 3TB is almost excessive storage capacity.

Tower has a lot of space to save all types of files from your pictures, videos, music, etc. Highly recommend to anyone that needs to save on alternative space and backup all their data files.

I've been a long time WD customer. Overall I think this is a great product but I really wish it had the ability to do automatic uploads from iPhone pictures. As it stands now you would have to manually select each picture you want to upload. There's no default SELECT ALL and again the issue with automatic uploading of pictures like my other cloud providers have (Like DropBox, Just Cloud)...

Great storage capacity. Easy to set up. Would recommend it with no reservations.

I thought I could use this as a media drive. Unfortunately it does not work directly with iTunes. You can use an app to access your files directly but it;s not setup for music so searching isn't an option. Nice backup option. I have the computer and all phones backing up to it. You can set up users on the NAS. Copying data sucked. Took 24 hours for 550GB of data. The USB port is only for additional storage, not for transfer so to speak. Haven't loaded any movies on it yet so not sure how it works via my Sony Blu-ray player. Hooks up without issue to my Yamaha receiver but using the app to find music is cumbersome.

I was looking for an easy way to back up my household Macs without too much money. This product is easy to set up and use. It has been functioning well.

Bought this for my son who is a self-employed DJ. Travels all over the world and now his music can too without carrying an additional piece of hardware.

Easy to use. Set-up is fairly easy for beginners as well as intermediate users.
