Great product. Seems to work just as expected. Highly reccomend for anyone especially the beginner.

Ordered online and picked up at local BB. Brought the units (2) home, followed the setup instructions. Setup identified a firmware update, which went flawlessly. Connected to router and rebooted it, drives recognized right away. Use one of the drives for my music collection, streaming over wi-fi network using Serve-to-me software on a netbook and Stream-to-me software on laptop, iPhone, and iPad. Drive is as fast as I'd expect, but that's subjective since I've not done any testing. We'll see about reliability.

I don't have to worry about having to pay for memory every few months! Saves from mulyiple device.

This device was very simple to initialize and set up access for all my devices. The only drawback so far has been some trouble with remote access. Sometimes I cannot access it with my iPhone and have to wait a few minutes and try again. Other than that I would highly recommend this unit.

Overall not bad but the software can improve both on laptop and tablet. Set up was easy

Little expensive but worth to have it in your home and download upload speeds are pretty fast

Awesome product and is very user friendly and easy to install. Be sure to use Google chrome not Internet Explorer when setting up and downloading apps. With Explorer the apps and setup procedure do not perform the same as shown on setup and installation videos.

This is a good external hard drive for the price. I would like to have a way to connect the drive directly to my computer.

I have many WD portable wired drives, some MY Passport others just for additional storage. They connect to my pc via USB 2.0 or 3.0. My complaint is that if the usb cable is "moved" in the slightest bit, the storage device drops connection for simply one second or less. If the connection "problem" occurs when data is being copied or moved from one device to the other it causes data corruption. So now that WD has an external storage device which allows me to transfer data via WiFi I hope I will no longer incur the connection issue. However I still need the connection issue to be fixed as I have 5 or 6 larger portable drives as well as smaller personal drives that use usb connections and I need the data on these. I have an HP Pavilion dv7 and an HP Envy.

Brought home the Seagate version and was unable to get it to work. Exchanged it for this one, much easier!

Purchased the drive to supplement storage on an AIO device...Performance is excellent

It was easy to install, and does everything I want it too. I especialy like being able to acess my files whereever ia am.

This will not back up digital movies and it also will not play them to other devices on your network.. Hard to figure out in the beginning but works well now..

I am using this to backup my photos so they are available for sharing. No limits and no monthly fees.

Does what it needs to, always connected, very quick, hard drive is extremely quiet.

This is a great item to store my pictures on. we are picture taking fiends, documenting our lives via pictures and need additional storage space. This fits the bill. Not sure how long before I'll need another but the fact that it is compatible with my IPhone is very helpful.

Purchased this to store files and back up all household computers and it worked great! Easy to install.
