Product was easy to install and works as advertised. Although it can backup USB drive/memory sticks by plugging them in directly to the device, it can't backup a pc over the network. WD does have a sync application that can/will mirror all pc's that you install the sync software on, this software runs 24/7 in the background. It works well but I would still like to have a standard backup solution from the pc over the network to the storage device.

Very good performance. User interface needs improvement. Local admin and web interface should be somehow merged. It is not as user friendly as cloud based systems.

Latterly 3 mouse clicks to set up. Makes a great media center. Powerful enough to stream with ease.

Excellent product. Plug and play and it's easy to navigate. The app on my iphone it's not bad at all. It has never crash, it's been there everytime i needed to work.

Good product, easy to setup, easy to use in general, still don't know how to share links with other people to access what I want

The My Cloud EX2 seems to be a solid storage device to store and back up files.

Does the job, very easy to use. Even though the back up software needs to be downloaded externally.

Have always liked WD NAS drives. Too bad they stopped supporting OS3 for remote use. I am sure OS5 compatible will be just as reliable.

Wish I had bought sooner! Installed at office for backups, discovered it also found it works great as a remote data server. I also can create secure folders to share with others. Great price, great buy.

This does everything we wanted it to do and more. I backup 5 computers to this device.

Runs a bit slow, but does the job. It just seems like it lugs even when I only put about five pages in at a time. I got it on sale and feel I got my money’s worth. Does all it promises but if you need to do heavy shredding, look for a stronger machine.

I enabled error notifications and I get many telling it is rebuilding the RAID. Meaning one HHdd keeps failing. If this continues it may have to go back.

The best storage system in the market. More secure than using cloud services. Can directly access from anywhere in the world.

The hardware itself is great but the software has web access timeout that cannot be turned off which the maximum timeout is 30 minutes. If your out of the house and not continuously logging into the software your locked out. Opened a ticket with WD but don’t think any changes will be made do to this issue has been going on for awhile and other people had opened tickets for the same issue. If I knew about this issue I would’ve looked at other brands. If it wasn’t for the software settings on the web access timeout I would’ve given it a five star rating.

This product is for my company file server. The set up was easy and it was up and running in no time. Lots of storage for our needs.

Was very easy to set up and handles the backup of workstations on a local network with ease. I am not using WD's backup, but works great.

If you want to store pictures or files then this is the drive for you. But you cannot stream Plex at all on it. I tried using the App in WD NAS and it freezes and buffers after 4 minutes. I tried to use plex on my server and just streamed the movies from the NAS as storage only, and the same thing! When I put all the movies on my PC Hard Drive, and install Plex it runs great!! And the PC is upstairs on a USB wifi adapter. The NAS was plugged directly into my 1GB Switch, and the TV I was trying to stream from was 10 feet away from a 5GHz Wifi...so the drive just can't process fast enough. Very upset and don't even need this thing. I can store crap on my USB I don't need a $300 unit that can't even stream.

Excellent hard drive with my information accessible from anywhere. Easy to set up.

I use this for streaming my movies to my smart tvs through my router and it does the job really well. i would recommend plex with this product for movie or music streaming with this product. sofar i have been pretty impressed with it.
