WD has stripped value from these devices. No more Netbios or SMB. No more built-in admin application. Sent it back and spent $2,000 to upgrade to Synology.

This is not a network storage device. You cannot actually access this device on your network. You cannot connect to its dashboard. You cannot change basic settings. You cannot connect to it as a network share. This device is useless without their app and creating an account for it.

Honestly, i dont have any issues until July 2022, Now my device is showing offline always. I reached out WD support team, I executed all the troubleshoot steps recommended by support but they failed to bring my device online back. This behavior started after recent firmware update. Please dont buy.. I lost my data.. No help from WD.
