Works well Easy to set up More than enough storage space

This device worked great for the purpose of having my home videos saved and available for streaming on other devices. I mainly use to with Plex. However, that services does limit the amount of directory folders you can have on this personal cloud device... Either way that doesn't hinder this device any bit. This was a great buy.

Works as advertised. Easy to setup. Matches the decor of the house.

Purchased this for ability to play home movies and saved DVD via Plex on my Nvidia Sheild. WD promotes this device as being Plex capable but they havent updated the Plex software in over a year so literally you can't play a single movie if you are operating on Andriod. Support tickets are pointless and you can easily search for other users reporting the exact same issue with no help from WD. The product would be solid if there was actual support that updated thr software like they should. Like I said, stay away.

I love the Cloud Feature of this hard drive. I have stored all of my files on my 2TB laptop onto the cloud. Also I love being able to share files with my family & being able to backup Pictures & videos from my iPhone to the cloud. It’s easy to setup & use.

Had a dive from Best Buy several years ago. Wanted a larger one

Plugged it into my network at home and I was able to see it immediately on my network. After loading the app I was able to transfer data from my older device onto this new home device. No problem whatsoever.

The cloud device doesn’t move files from other sites like Dropbox as well as I’d like. Only links it, when I wanted to transfer everything.

Purchased to store data on and I am glad I had it. Had a adobe premier video project backed up to it while working on an external drive. The drive died but I was able to recover most of my project due to my cloud.

Replaced my old WD HOME CLOUD and have not had any problems with the upgrade to a new home cloud. Can play HD movies off of this drive and no worries about it crashing. I have always used WD drives in everything I do because of their exceptional detail to quality.

Good drive for a backup. Already using 50% of the space for pictures.

I bought this HD to replace an old seagate network drive and though it is a good price and a lot of storage. I have been trying everything possible to make it a network drive. and tech support for this product basically tells me the exact same thing the directions say and still can become a freestanding network drive...

Set My Cloud to backup a desktop and laptop. You have to read the instruction carefully. Went smoothly without any problem and enough space for saving a few versions of backup!

The WD MyCloud Home 8 TB doesn't work very well at all. It is extremely slow and if you already have a MyCloud system, adding this only creates a problem and screws things up. The worst thing is it takes forever for the files to display. I purchased a Seagate system to replace it. I wasted my money on the WD McCloud Home system.
