The idea is simple enough with a two disk array for Fail-Safe redundancy. It was easy to set up on my network. The instructions are easy as they are not much more than three paragraphs. What comes after that is a series of registering an account, going online and downloading pieces of software to make the local backup work, the online backup and the local file sharing work and to tell you the truth I just parked the device until I get more time to take care of it. Buying a Seagate drive off the shelf would be a simpler solution. I had higher hopes of not being nickeled and dimed to death both in time and money

It was very easy to get set up but I'm a little more tech-savvy than most. And being able to attach more storage to it via USB is a great bonus. Note: When using the Mirroring feature for backup, the drive capacity is only 2TB. And the built in processor is NOT fast enough to stream Plex.

It was really easy to set this up on my home network. I've never used a NAS before, so I appreciate the ease of use. Adding apps and setting up the NAS is simple as well. WD's website is also helpful for additional tips.

Bought this after learning the importance of back ups, lost 16 years of photographs and family video , and spent 1000 dollars in recovery. This cloud storage is peace of mind, easy to use and worth the money

Bought this for a small business as a server. Multiple computers connect over the network to it perfectly. Takes a bit of network knowledge to setup but otherwise a simple setup. If your connecting by just one computer its pretty simple. Love the security and backup features.

Installed this NAS in less than half an hour and it's been solid ever since. I believe there are faster systems out there but if ease of use is important to you this is a good device at a decent price.

I like this product alot and this one includes a backup hard drive so its extra safe.

It appears to be working but have had some issues accessing the device on a remote system.... Not sure if it was an internet issue or what but it will not always upload the files.

We use this as a backup hard drive and we sync are documents folder to the my cloud part and it works great. My younger brother has a pc and uses one and he sync it to his photos and that works great to.

Plug in and worked straight away. No problems with set up.

Thought it was a good idea to have my own cloud storage. Found this at the store ads and it was the best spec hard drive at the time. Made a good decision and still working great to this day.

Easy basic setup, but if you have a large image collection (or music library with cover images), you'll need to disable image indexing - requires Linux knowledge.

Multiple devices easily backup to the drive. Provides remote access to the files as well. The raid drives help to prevent data loss and the front LEDs give a visual indication that all is OK

My previous external backup hard drive died on me. I replaced it with this one that mirrors one drive to the other so it has it's own backup. Very easy to set up and reach from everything on my network.

Bought this to expand my storage space on my computer. I also have a 4TB external attached to my PC. But I needed a storage solution to access while I'm away from home. And yes while there's DropBox and Google drive, and other online solutions. I feel more secure having my own personal Cloud. It' easy to setup users and folders to share. Originally this My Cloud is setup to mirror the hard drives. but I changed it to have single independent drives. Yes, there's a risk where one could fail and not have backup. But I felt this way I'll have another 4TB storage accessible through the internet. I have yet to try and attach my external drive to My Cloud. to have an even more storage availability.

I invested on this for my business. I love that it has raid capabilities allowing my to save my documents and media in 2 HDD, so if one fails. The other will have the backup safe.

Having issues backing up Archive file. In general, easy to setup and works well.

Works perfect for storing important documents and files that can be accessed by everyone on the wifi network.
