Fast, works great. It's what I needed to do photo backups to keep them secure. Small so I can store it safely. Wanted a way to protect family photos.

The WD SSD is impressive, and about time. The USB thumb drives were not increasing in size for good pricing. This is somewhat expensive but 1TB for about $150. And fast. It does require a dongle to attach to a USB, but that is okay and the attachment comes with it. It is not that large- it is thin- and of course light. I have found USB's to be getting smaller without improvement in the GB/price ratio. Smaller is not necessarily better as I feel I can lose those too easily. This size is great at the moment and this technology (which has been around as SSD) will probably take over for the limited USB thumb drives

I am using it to back up my Mac and really appreciate how quiet a SSD is vs. my previous traditional HD. It is also much smaller and faster.

This SSD is extremely great for when you need to transfer files quickly. It also has the added benefit of being very durable in case you accidentally drop it.

I used this to transfer my Steam library to my fathers PC so I could game while visiting him on a recent visit. He lives in an area that only has satellite or cellular hotspot for internet, and using this allowed me to move my entire Steam library of over 800 GB of data to his PC in a very quick way without using any of his very limited data allowance. Highly recommended for anyone who needs to transfer a large amount of data in a short time!

Very fast and easy to backup pictures and other media files. the fact that it came with a USB 2 to 3 adapter is a bonus. I had a old PC and there were no USB 3 ports and I was not sure if it would work fast enough. Good thought from WD. A bit pricey though. But it helped me big time with a computer that was just about to die for good

SSD drive, light weight, works good and fast. Added plus, it was on sale ....

Compact with a lot of drive space. WD software that comes with drive can be confusing when first installing. Nonetheless, I like that the drive is secured. The cord that connects to PC should be longer.

Used as an external storage for my PS4. I noticed significant lag time when opening menu's in certain games (for example, Destiny 2). I moved all my games to this drive and everything moves quickly now. Love it.

I have had 2 regular external hard drives suddenly quit working. After research and speaking with many computer techs I learned the most reliable external hard drives are the solid state ones. I love it.
