Very small, fast and doesn't require any other power source other than the USB port! Western digital makes very reliable hard drives making it perfect for my valuable data.

The XBOX One comes with either 500gb or 1TB of storage depending on the model. 500 gb fills up fast when every game requires a full install from the blu-ray. Most games average between 30 - 50 gb per install with some going even higher. Plus, you don't have a full 500 gb to work with from the start because the operating system takes up a good 1/5 of the internal storage space. So, you either need to keep uninstalling and reinstalling games, or, you can do what a lot of us are doing, and buy an external drive. This drive from Western Digital just makes sense for an XBOX One owner. It's cheaper than the official drive from Seagate, it performs better than the internal drive on the XBOX One, and it's easy to set up. You plug the drive into a USB 3.0 port on the back of the XBOX One and the machine guides you through the format and prep. Once it's done, you can install and move your games to the new drive and many games will perform better than they did on the internal drive because the USB 3.0 bus out performs the older internal SATA employed by the XBOX. So, I recommend the drive. I've been using this one since February without issue.

I have now purchased 2 My passport HDs. Very happy with both. I have 1 hooked to my mac and store everything from video/audio files, photos, program files, project files etc. Havent jad an issue yet. Transfer speed is pretty fast. It could be faster but willing to bet my computer is close to obsolete. The other I use with the xbox one to store games on. Works great. Easy to use. Will be buying more when these fill up.

Have a big one that sits on the desk but wanted something small to use with my laptop to organize my pictures that I could take anywhere. Easy to use and is a great size.

So far so good. bought as a replacement to my Seagate flex drive that is unsupported in W10. This is 2x the capacity and 80% smaller and powered off USB. Very please.

Very easy to format for Mac OS. I don't use it for backup however it is being used for photos. The form factor is small and easy to carry with me while traveling.

I have an Xbox One with an internal HD of 500gb. This is not enough for me as I like to play a wide array of games and take advantage of the free games offered through my gold membership. This external drive works seamlessly with my Xbox and has afforded me the extra storage I need to keep gaming. I encourage anyone looking to expand the memory of the Xbox One console to seek out this external drive.

I've used several different brands of external hard drives, and WD is always the one that performs the best. It loads quickly and they always offer the best capacity/price value, without compromising the aesthetics. This one (2 TB) didn't disappoint either.

Reasonably priced 2TB external hard drive is good insurance to back up my computer. Will last a long time.

My college daughter's computer was having issues and became partially unresponsive. This WD Passport was a breeze to setup and does a great job backing up all of my data. So glad I'm prepared in case of any hard drive failure.
