My Passport Ultra is an important addition for my computers. I had fortunately backed up a computer and all files with the Passport just before the computer crashed. Now with a new computer, I have access to all my files. It makes setting up a regular computer backup very convenient and no worries about lack of memory.

This is a great and affordable portable hard drive. It has lots of space for all my files and is very durable. I've had no issues carrying it back and forth to work everyday. I highly recommend it!!!

I wanted to upgrade to usb 3.0 since all I had was 3tb of space but with usb 2.0. It was painfully slow. Now file transferring is much faster, keep in mind though you will only take advantage of this by using a machine with usb 3.0 ports, while it will work on usb 2.0, you will not see any improvements vs 2.0.

Durable & dependable mobile data storage. I've purchased several Western digital passport drives over the past several years for video production. There has never been a problem with any of the drives and I've used them while filming in overseas locations as well as domestically. Another nice feature is the price of storage continues to decrease. A 2 TB drive today less expensive than the original lower storage capacity drives available several years ago. Highly recommend the economical Passport mobile portable storage drives from Western Digital.

My sixth WD External Drive have 500gb to 5tb and have had no issues with any of them. All work as advertised. Really like the passport though for size and for capacity as well as portability.

I decided to get this portable hard drive for my lap top since I never remembered to switch the larger hard drive I have attached to my desk top computer to take care of my laptop. This is small enough not to be in the way and gives me peace of mind that my information and especially my pictures are safe.

My laptop's back up requirements have gone up exponentially from the first external backup I purchased a few short years ago. I purchased this Passport external drive a few short weeks ago. The installation was very easy and it works perfectly. It also is compatible with Carbonite for additional backup

Bought this as a replacement/expansion for my WD portable 500GB from almost ten years ago primarily for family photos/videos. That one still works even after all this time so I know I can trust this one (and the brand) to store more memories and even be an additional backup for the ones I copied over.

This external HDD is Xbox one compatible, of course you need to format it first in order for your Xbox one to read it & begin storing content. It doesn't make any noise and there's a little light near the connection port that stays on even when the Xbox one is turned off. I would highly recommend it.

My Passport Ultra 2TB External Hard Drive performs wonderfully. Makes a great back up device as well as for storing critical files for the network I must maintain. I just plug it in to my laptop and USB finds it super quick and am ready to work with my storage needs. Great Product at a Great Price...

This is my 3rd WD external hard-drive that I've purchased, because I keep my data on more hard drives just in case one goes wrong or I run out of space. But in several years they still are perfect and most importantly it is trustable

After purchasing and using several Seagate portable drives, this is a welcomed addition. My previous Seagate portable drives were much slower (since they were USB 2.0) and were not the most intuitive to set up for backup purposes. This WD portable drive offers very simplistic setup for regular backups, is MUCH quieter than my previous Seagate portable drives and significantly faster at transferring data. To sum it up, this drive is lightweight, attractive (color options are great so it's easy to tell the difference between them when you have several), portable with a very small footprint and FAST! What more could you want from a portable drive.

I read many reviews and comparisons of portable hard drives, and all the signs pointed to this one. The price was right and the storage was right. It also has good reviews pertaining to the reliability and failure rates, which is the main thing i was worried about, USB 3.0 isn't too bad either!

In my household, my son loves to play video games on his Xbox One. The passport allows him to store so many games due to such an enormous amount of memory. It's a great money saver as well. We upgraded from 1TB to 2TB. What a BIG difference. He's having a blast. What a great price as well.

The "My Passport Ultra" 2T external hard drive has the best of both worlds. You can use the onboard software to customize your back-up needs & match your desired processes, but for my use, I prefer the simple drag-n-drop method, treating it just like the computer's internal harddrive.

I have purchased this same device for safe keeping. All my backups work flawlessly. Never an issue when I switch to differenent pc's. Until they bring down the cost of external SSD drives, this should be your backup as well.

Nice size, reliable and at a decent price. I needed a 2TB size portable external hard drive and this has been great for me. I also need the added security of password encryption and I believe this is secure. The size is fairly small. Overall, a great product to hold all my personal items.
