I purchased the HD as a gift for someone that lives in another state. Courteous and professional store rep helped me to purchase and set up pick up at the other store. He loved the HD and began storing files on it immediately.

I purchased this about a week ago and it has been working well. Suggest formatting the hard drive always good after purchase and then you will be sure to not have any problems. Using this simply as game storage for my laptop.

I was often worried that important emails, documents and sometimes copies of contracts would disappear if my computer crashed. Too lazy to back everything up to disk, this little joy is my salvation! Super easy to set up!!

I bought 2 western digital external hard drives to store my music files on. I have over 430,000 karaoke songs alone and keep them on one while the other holds my 285,000 dj song list. Very reliable and easy to work with.

Great little drive for backups of critical data. Western Digital has always had great reliability with their drives. Will continue to stick with the Passports with backups of small data and quick drives to grab on the go.

Already have one no problems I don't understand why ther is a Mac version this has software for Mac on it. Totally plug and play for Windows planning to get a couple more and remove several hard drives and save energy

Western Digital is by far the best external hard drive a person can purchase. Easy to use, easy to hook up, and easy to store. I HIGHLY reccomend this product and the price at Best Buy was great as well (2TB for $90).

I never realized the true importance of having a good back up system in place to prevent loss of documents, pictures, etc. After experiencing a scare in December I was advised by Geek Squad at Best Buy that the time to get an external hard drive is as soon as you purchase a lap top. Fortunately they were able to retrieve all my stuff. Staff was very helpful in guiding me on selecting which hard drive to purchase. They were not pushing for the most expensive item; instead, they suggested which type was best suited to meet my needs. After my purchase had a one to one session to explain how it worked and how to hook up correctly. Kids nowadays know how to do all this but some of us Baby Boomers need the guidance from the expert staff at Best Buy.

This is my third WD Ultra 2TB hard drive. They are dependable and easy to use and carry around. The USB 3.0 runs quickly. These are great for external media on your computer or as extra hard drive space for a console.

It works great small and easy to connect. This was bought as an external hard drive for my xbox one console. I download the games instead of purchasing the discs. The only thing with this product don't drop it, since the way it stores the content is on an internal disc, if drop it might scratch or break. I've accidentally dropped it a few times, nothing drastic, and it still runs smooth.

Great drive with lots of storage. Easy to set up. Backs up on daily schedule so data won't get lost. Reasonably priced too.

I have purchased several WD hard drives and they never let me down yet - the WD My Passport Ultra 2TB External USB 3.0/2.0 Portable Hard Drive is a perfect size for backing up pictures from your lap top or phone.

I got a great deal on the 2TB, instead of going with just the 1TB, which is good all around since my wife takes so many photos. Hopefully this will be large enough to hold and store all the photos that she takes.

Pretty good, did a nice back up a few months ago. However, for a laptop, the short attachment cord makes it not practical to keep it plugged in for automatic back ups. Also, I manually started a back up recently, but it said it was not able to complete it. It did not give a reason, so I was not able to look into what had caused the problem.

It's pretty simple, this is a solid hard drive. I have always had luck with WD external drives and this is no different. The usb 3.0 is faster than my previous drive and the storage space is great for the price.

My brother after losing all his data from his laptop due to drop damage finally realized how important it is to keep a back up. This device did its job greatly to ensure there is a backup for the rainy days.

I had already some of these MyPassport HD before and I still love them. Had no problems so far and they all worked absolutely reliable. Even with all the travel where I take them with me. Perfect backup disk.
