I bought this drive to connect to my Channel Master DVR+ for recording. Happy to report that the drive works great, I have now plenty of space to record and no extra power cable to plug in. Objectives met!

I was looking for a drive to augment the storage of my Surface Pro 2. This one definitely meets my requirements. I also wanted to be able to transfer files to and from my Desk Top and Laptop computers.

I recently purchased the WD Portable Hard Drive to backup my files. I purchased because it offered an extra TB for just +/-$10 more than a single TB and was slightly less expensive than its competitor.

I have always trusted Western digital. This is my 4th portable hard drive. This one was actually for my cousin and its an updated version to the older ones I have. It is small, light and feels great.

Purchased as a replacement for one I've been using for a few years now, they work great and my original one has lasted very well even through less than gentle treatment at times. Love how small and portable they are, and they hold SO MUCH (I'm a photographer and use them for large RAW photos and their JPEG counterparts after I edit). I would definitely recommend.

Use this for OS X backups and works great. Usb 3 support was key for me. These little drives are resilient and last for a long time. Western digital has a very reliable brand compared to seagate.

Out of the box, you get the drive, a 15" USB 3.0 cable, soft pouch, quick install guide, and a 3-year limited warranty. The drive looks nice, and appears to be of good construction. Doesn't look or feel cheaply made. I like how compact it is. It's about an inch shorter in length than my FreeAgent Go, and maybe a millimeter or two thicker. The included soft pouch is a nice addition and helps keep dust and dirt off of it. Not an ideal case solution if you're prone to dropping things or somewhat rough with your belongings, so you might want to invest in a more rugged case. It works fine for me though as I keep mine in a messenger bag when on the go, and it's a nice addition considering most other drives don't come with anything. The included USB cable is long enough to plug into the USB port on the front of my PC and reach my desk's surface. So, thumbs up there.

This item is exactly what we were looking for. We are comfortable knowing that important files are backed up.

Bought this to increase my Xbox one storage capacity. Works great effortlessly install and the read write speed is acceptable! Would recommend for a cost effective solution that performs best!

Needed a backup for my computer and this thing delivers! Easy to use. There's programs that is installs so you can run the backups straight from them and it light weight and very sleek design.

My son was running out of room on his laptop and needed additional space. We were just going to get the 1 TB but this wasn't much more. He shouldn't run out of room for quite awhile now.

I have bought this for an extra storage and and it does the job very well. Since MacBooks come with only 128gig or 265gig or greater storage this is the best solution to have 1tb storage.

The WD Passports are the best there are for external storage. I have probably close to a dozen since they first came out and the first one I bought years ago still works like it's new.

This ultra small portable hard drive can hold a lot of data if you're looking to back a lot of things up. The fact that it transfers pretty fast and is usb powered is what I need on the go. I upgraded from a 500 GB model, and this was way worth it, considering I paid the same price compared to years ago.

Works fast and right out of box. Lets me take large amount of files with me.These work so well that this is second one I purchased. One for home files and the other just for pictures.

I own 2 of these drives. My friends refer to me as the Nagging Queen of the Backups because I always nag them to backup their files. On my WD Passport Ultra, I make a complete bootable clone of my data, store it offsite, and update it regularly. I always have one at home and another in my office. In the event of theft or catastrophe, my data is safe. This is a small price to pay for data security. No monthly fees and no worries.

My dad takes tons of pictures and loves to keep them in a safe place. This unit helps out a lot giving the fact that its a 2TB drive & i got it for a great price. Thank You Best Buy !
