Not compatible with my Mac and don't know how to convert it.

Very disappointed it didn't work with my apple computer

Had to return product sine it is not Apple compatible.

I have purchased WD hard drives before and they are reliable. I use one as a backup for my laptop and I got this one so I can connect it to the Xbox as a gaming storage. This is so small and really portable. Great drive for the price.

I bought this for storing video footage and so far my hundreds of videos haven't overloaded the hard drive! Easy to carry around, slightly heavy (but can't expect a 2T hard drive to be light as a feather), and nice solid black color. Easy to use and format as well.

The unit I got first was a DOA (Dead on arrival) unit. So wait why the 4 stars you ask? Well because when I called western digital to tell them that my unit was not reading at all, they were swift to offer a replacement. Works perfect on my NetGear NightHawk R7000 as a network drive, with the same performance you expect hard wired into my MacBook Pro. Lost of 1 star for the DOA which is most likely the fault of the shipping and not WDC.

My Passport 2tb remains a decent external 2.5" drive that takes advantage of the USB3 port. There may be faster drives out there (and certain plenty that are slower) but does its job well, respectable times uploading and downloading as well as a quiet drive. The shell of the enclosure is plastic which is both good and bad. Using plastic keeps it light weight and those considering putting it in a laptop bag won't feel a difference when carried around. The bad is that it can scratch and does show some fingerprints (a minor negative). Overall, I have moved both large and small files, used 3 different formatting of the drive and it continues to be a steady trustworthy tool. Presently, it is set up for Mac use and as such, formatted. I am glad I made this purchase. I have not used any software that has come with this drive and thus, won't comment on their usefulness. The price for the drive without any software is worth the purchase. I would like to give it 4.5 stars based on price but 4 stars is what is allowed. I would only give 5 stars if it had an SSD internally.

I have 2 WD passport hard disks. First one was purchased 10 years ago and still running fine. I made a mistake of impulsive purchase of Seagate portable hard disk 2 years back. The USB port was poorly built, so it broke. I will never go back to Seagate again. I purchased this WD hard disk and got my data moved from Seagate to WD (through a professional restoration service). Always trust the WD hard disk. I am using it as a Time Capsule connected to my Airport Extreme using Time Machine automated backups for Mac.

This small item packs a big punch. Great storage and very last at transferring a great deal of data. The extra features that come along with it are just an added bonus.

I love my passport, its great with my laptop it dose everything I ask it to, the soft ware that comes with it is super easy to use and from i picky guy helpful

This is my third WD over last few years...I am experiencing significant improvements over time and this is the best WD I have so far...

Portable , fast and lot of storage to hold videos , photos, documents. Should have come with case.

I got this to use as a back up for my computer, is easy to set up and easy to use.

I currently have a my book and was looking for something to back up to besides cloud storage or my laptop HD. This did the job; I can take it traveling and it is not bulky. The performance is fast for this size drive.
