great product and a great price. Stores all of my pictures.

Bought this as my primary backup tool for a desktop. Worked as advertised with the first "pass" to produce a complete backup taking more time than what is to be expected in subsequent scheduled updates.

Awesome Portable drive, A little larger than the previous portable drives, but still easily portable. Great speeds with the 3.0 interface. no issues, I own 3 of them!

What can i say. you plug it in and it works! This has given me no issues, the transfer speeds are good, and i like the color. It was on sale so the price was right.

bought this to load music and movies on. Have it plugged into my blue ray player USB port full time. Is very fast and have had no issues at all. would recommend.

Have had to replace all 3 within the span of a month. I'll most likely continue to recommend as I figure it was likely a bad batch which seems to happen to all drive manufacturers at one time or another and something I've experienced with other manufacturers in more data critical environments. Hopefully this latest batch will be longer lived. Remember, never trust one level of backup, no matter who write the software or provides the hardware. And again, the recommendation is based on the fact this happens to all hard drives and WD has for me been overall more reliable (save for this particular model), as of late than other manufacturers, the only real variant for driver failure is time.

This looked like a high quality product and was a good deal for a 2TB external hard drive. Unfortunately it is not compatible with windows XP so I had to return it. Fortunately, returns at best buy are painless.

I've always loved WD Hard Drives. They are super fast, great price and 2TB!!!!! Can't beat that. Triple threat!

Worked as you would expect. I did have to mess with a windows setting to speed up the data transfer. Thats probably a windows issue though.

I purchased this hard drive for recording TV program with Ematic Digital Converter and I fund it works while some others don't.

Even with the USB 3.0, the drive doesn't seem to be fast enough. Takes forever to copy data to and from this drive.

Nice to have blue color for ease of identification I still find the WD software confusing at times.
