I've only had mine for about a month, so I don't know about its longevity, but it's a nice compact Hard Drive with space for movies, music and/or photos so you can take them along with you to share with friends or family. And it's nice not to have to plug it in the wall as my tiny old apartment only has a few outlets!

My computer is currently on it's last leg and I realized I needed to back everything up to be safe. Besides using dropbox as a cloud based storage, I wanted something physical as well. I've always enjoyed My Passport products, and this one gets the job done! Love that there were different color options as well.

I'm using this to replace a bulky 3.5" external drive enclosure serving my movie collection via direct USB to my TV. First off, this unit is double the capacity of my former solution. Secondly, it is USB powered rather than needing an external supply which cuts out nearly 80% of the bulk of my former solution. Perfectly reliable. Only nit to pick is that it can take longer to initialize when the TV is powered on than the old drive, but that's a given due to the form factor and drive speed.

I bought this as backup for a laptop, and it's been great. It's not the fastest or flashiest, but sturdy and reliable.

I like this product because it is easy to use; just plug and play. It saves my documents and pictures with simplicity.

My wife and I own and use daily the Western Digital Passport drives. The 2TB external drives are extremely reliable; in six years of use, I have only had one failure. The write speed is very high, even on my USB 2.0 connection. Light-weight, portable, compatible with both PC and Mac, this is an excellent drive.

After purchasing several large games for my son's Xbox One he had used up about 95% of the system space. While in the store looking for another item I spoke with an associate who steered me to this external hard drive. It is as good as he said it would be. My son plugged it in (no need for an external power cord), downloaded all of his games onto it, and now is thrilled that everything runs much faster with fewer glitches. This is a lifesaver for anyone with a serious gamer!

It is amazing how inexpensive data storage has become. The WD Passport at 2TB holds a ton of data and loads quickly!

Product does what I need to do...save files, pictures, etc., to an external drive. Plenty of storage on this device.

I've purchased it for backups, since it had a good ratio of storage per $. The only downside is a little noise, but it is mechanical drive. Also light is too bright.

My daughter saves all of her pictures and videos on the external hard drive. This frees up more space on our laptop.

We purchased this as a Christmas gift for my girlfriends son for his Xbox One. He enjoys having it, and likes that it performs well reading from this external, and there is little interruption in his game play.

This will get the job to safely store your files great brand at a great price. Have about 4 of these in my arsenal.

Needed more storage for my Xbox One and this worked perfectly. Simply plugged it in and started storing to it.
