I have used my WD-My Passport Ultra 2TB External USB 3.0/2.0 Hard Drive numerous times. It keeps my computer clear of all data, pics and videos that use up hard drive space and can slow down computer. I HIGHLY recommend this item. It is worth every cent!

This has to be the easiest product to use period. Its as simple as plugging it in and downloading any info you want. I love how small and sleek it is too. I store all my movies on it and travel with it so I can plug and play any time I am bored.

I purchased this drive from my Xbox one, which was quickly running out of space because of all of those free games from gold. It was was painless install. I plugged in the drive in one of the rear USB ports, Xbox detected it right away and asked to format it. Once that was done, the storage showed up in the system, I moved a few games over to storage and it took a while but everything looks and feels fine, no slowness or sluggish performance at all for the games running off of this drive. Although WD has an Xbox specific drive which is market as "For Xbox one" and carries a premium price, however, I didn't see a difference in specification. Highly recommended.

I bought this to store pictures and videos. It is light weight and doesn't need a lot of space . I used to use flash drives and most of the time I had hard time to find them . Now I have this no too big not too small. Perfect size for me!

This hard drive has been used exclusively for my trip to Japan for transferring photos and videos and working from for editing. It is fast enough to not feel sluggish and the portable size makes it easy to lug around. Definitely recommend.

I picked this up as an addition to my XBox One so I could have more storage space. Plugged it in and the XBox did the rest, with performance slightly better then the internal drive. Tons of space for a great price, highly recommended.

Anyone who has ever lost data due to a hard drive failure knows you can never have too much storage. A compact external hard drive like this one is perfect for backing up data. It was inexpensive, very compact, and easy to install. It is powered by the USB port, so no separate charger is needed. Note that the USB cable provided is about 18 in. long. This might be a problem if you want to use this drive with a desktop PC, but likely not if you're using a laptop. Yes, I recommend this hard drive.

I use this to backup all my pictures and videos. Its small enough to carry around and robust enough that you don't have to baby it. It also has hardware encryption if you are worried about transporting sensitive data.

no plug was needed. Quick easy install. Uses USD 3.0 and backwards compatible. Replacing a failed external LaCie branded drive. Inside the LaCie was a Seagate drive! So this way you at least know you're getting WD. Had probs with WD in past decade with them - tried Seagate (which is apparently Seagate), both failed same rate so trying WD again. They seem to fail 2-4 years - basically just after warranty expires. Giving it 5 starts mostly on price, size, no power cord needed, usb 3.0/fast

I needed an external backup drive to replace my current external backup drive which is showing signs of failing. This Passport drive serves my needs well because it is compact and can hold an enormous amount of data.

Before I purchase this external drive , I looked at all reviews of similar products When compare with price and capacity (GB) this one is the best. After purchase it lived upto my expectation . Happy purchase

The external drive is functioning perfectly. I've created my own personal cloud that now backs itself up across three devices to ensure that I do not lose those memories that are mostly digital these days and so easy to lose if a single drive decides to fry. I would recommend this or really any drive from WD as they simply stand the test of time. I have never had to test their return policy because to date, with more decades using their products than I care to consider, I have never had to return an item. I realize that might be a strong statement but it is simple truth.

Awesome item. Does exactly what I need it to do. Using it as extra storage for my xbox one. Small size and price were my deciding factors. Matched price from Amazon too, so it was an even better deal.

Bought this external to backup all my pictures from multiple sources. Big project but it has more then enough capacity for all of my needs. Simple setup. Transfer rate is reasonable through usb 2.

I purchase two of these 2 TB puppies last year. I wanted one for my Mid 2010 Imac and the 2nd for my Xbox One. I read the reviews before purchasing... Ok so far the one for my imac works well. I transferred all my files from Imac to the external, went to my local apple store and reset to default settings then transferred all the files back. My imac now uses this as a source for "time machine." Now the second one, i notice when when i purchase new Xbox one games it takes up a lot of space on Xbox's internal hard drive (why buy the Game then?) so i wanted an external hard drive that's compatible with Xbox. It worked for the majority of the time, then a couple of months ago it would lose connection to my xbox. I would be playing a game then it kicks me out and said to install game again. I notice even with the Xbox one off the hard drive external light would still blink like it's on all the time, so i'm not sure if that had something to do with it? As result i stopped using it or i would unplug it when i stop playing xbox, may be i got a defective external hard drive? Either way, for computer use it's great! Better than a seagate external drive i purchased before.

Western Digital makes reliable hard drives that cost only a little more than sea gate or Toshiba, and the extra piece of mind for a better product is defiantly worth an extra $5-15

I purchased the external drive primarily for data backup. Easy USB 3.0 plug-and-play use right out of the box. Very fast transfer speeds. Low price, too. No complaints from me!

Purchased this for storage of video & photo files and it does the job perfectly. The only thing I had to do after purchasing was reformat the drive for use with Windows & Mac.
