With all my movies, files, pictures etc. I need something portable to carry it all with me and also back up. I do have cloud storage but I am not always connected to the internet. This is a great portable storage for all my files and a good price too.

I needed a storage solution fast. Enter the Western Digital My Passport Ultra 2TB External USB 3.0/2.0 Portable Hard Drive. My PC detects it instantly, unlike the Seagate hard drive that I use(which is full, by the way). Keep up the good work, guys!

only thing i wish is that the 4tbs were cheaper so i can have more space haha.

This isn't the first time I bought WD. I've been very happy with this brand over the years. HDD never failed me prematurely. I think their desktop software is also great. You get firmware updates if there are any. I bought two of them this time.

Bought it on sale to extend the storage of my Xbox one. And it works great.

It does the job and holds a lot of memory for me. It did take a while to set up so leave yourself some time to let it sit and prep. Good product for the price.

I needed a large captivity drive to move data to remote systems then to be used to backup a couple of computers. The drive worked great and the 3.0 USB interface was very fast. Also, move seamlessly between 2.0 and 3.0 systems. I love it.

I just got this external hard drive like a month ago working great so far

This is the 2nd drive I've bought. I bought the exact same one because the first one worked so well. My backup times went from 30 minutes to 3 minutes. The software I use is built into my server so most of the files are just moved around on the drive. The new drive was so much faster about doing that that I had to buy another. I run redundant backups, in at least 3 places at any time. This new drive I just bought is a little picky about the cable that is plugged into it. It did not like the cable attached to my server. So to test I used the cable that came with it, perfect every time. I purchased a new cable and both drives are now happy with it. If your having issues with the drive showing up, make sure you test with another cable. For me it was a cable issue. Since replacing the cable it has never failed to show up.

I am happy because it was just what my daughter wanted for nursing school

use this as external hard drive for my dish network system. Plug it in the usb port and let the dish format the hard drive and it was ready for use in a couple of min. works great.
