These drives are small, light and have fast transfer. Real good way to store photos. I am a bird watcher with many pictures and these drives are great for my needs.

we purchased this Portable Hard Drive after its recommendation from the sales guy... So far its worked like a charm, No issues and we are happy with our purchase.

This handy 2TB external hard drive (with 512 byte blocks) can handle Windows backup while the big brother (bigger than 2TB) can't, because some older Windows OS backup does not work with drives with 4K byte blocks.

It installs easily with a short usb connection. I just left it on top of my desk top computer.

This is my second WD passport purchase. Found instructions and software for both products a bit difficult to use. Took me multiple attempts to install properly. First backup got held up and never finished. Restart and subsequent backups appear to have completed properly.

Its your standard portable usb hard drive. I had no issues at all with using it, the first time I just plugged it in... and in a few moments it was ready to use.

I needed an external hard drive for my Xbox. I am very satisfied with this particular drive. In fact, I bought a second one for my nephew to use with his Xbox.

This is the largest size drive that my router would take. I use it as the central data bank for my computers, cell phone and other devices on my home network.

Got this to record off a DTV converter box works great. I have lots of room for football and anything I want to record. Playback is crystal clear like my TV.

Purchased this external drive for Xbox One. Hooked it up and it just works. Have one from a prior purchase that has worked with no issue for about one year.

I am incredibly happy with this device and the price i paid for it. Its my EXT for my Xbox One and has immediately made a difference with my gaming storage.

I choose this portable drive after I started receiving intermittent failures on my Seagate GoFlex portable drive. I believe the Seagate is failing due to the inteface of their SATA adapter to the drive SATA output. Over time the connection has become loose. The Western Digital My Pasport drive does not use a proprietary connection, just a simple USB to USB3 cable that is easily replaced if it gets damaged. The drive itself may be even more protected as the SATA connection is not visible. One thing to not is the drive is actually 1.85GB of free space, not 2.0 GB as shown.

I knew my HD was dying so I backed my stuff up the day before it died on this. That part was easy but the software for uploading onto my new HD wasn't very good so I used something else. Great for storage but data transfer is confusing, maybe just me dumb old brain....

This is my 3rd version of these drives. I'm a photographer and keep each years photos on a separate backup drive, and these have done the trick quite well!

Over the years i have become dependent on external hard drives. The WD 2TB portable hard drive was the answer i needed. I recently switched a desktop computer for a Laptop. My laptop has a much smaller HD installed so i needed a portable drive for all the things i need. I am a photographer so i needed a drive that has a fast connection between my laptop and drive. My photos are very large and this Drive is super fast with USB 3.0. Western Digital has one of the best reputations and proven quality products. If your looking for a portable HD choose WD. You'll be happy you did.

Great external drive. WD backup software is great also. Easily configurable to back up specific folders and create back up schedule that fits one's needs.
