The HDD is very fast and solid. I bought it because I wanted to back up my computers. The included USB adapter came in very handy to use with older computers which don’t have USB-C. My only complaint would be the material it’s made of. It’s a rather thin plastic that raises durability concerns. I haven’t had any issues with it up to this review.

Have use more than a year and very happy with it. Is fast and a lot of space. Use to back up documents and pictures.

i had to replace my old drive and to my surprise this one is about half as thick as my old one. These things are getting tiny. works well.

Love the manufacturing quality of this. Feels good in the hand, very fast at over 100 MB/s transfer and extremely quiet. I had purchased an equivalent Seagate before this, but didn't like the quality, so decided to shell out for this WD premium model. Definitely worth the $ difference.

Used the WD external drives as part of my RAID1 raspberry pi NAS build. Work great. Fast enough. Never had a problem. I have two. 2 TB will probably store all of my video/work files/pictures for the next 10 years.

The unit is compact and perfect for my travel needs. It has more than enough memory for my needs. The price is excellent and definitely affordable.

I opened the package and immediately looked for instructions! Nothing. Bought the unit to transfer hundreds of photos from a 10 year old iMac. Decided to just plug the unit into a USB port and next thing there it was on my desktop. Opened it and started dragging files on to it. Considering the number of images the process did not take that long. I have a brick sized WD back up drive which I purchased with the 2012 iMac. Still works, and have never had a problem with it. I heartily recommend this product.

super affordable and lots of space for an external harddrive!!

I bought this blue drive to distinguish between the standard silver one. I was able to reformat it to ExFat in seconds so I could use it between PC and Mac machines. I use two portable drives to archive a large library of mp4 video files. After ordering, I had to wait longer for this blue one to ship.

Got drive to back up my laptop. Has plenty of room and can store multiple backups. Physical size is great and doesn’t take much room in my rravel case. Accessory case holds drive and cord.

This drive works great for storing extra pictures and videos. I use multiple drives to backup photos to keep my clients photos.

Purchased for a new MacBook Pro 16 for backing up data. Comes with USB-C cable. Transfer speed is very good.

Replacement for an older Ultra Passport. It has downloaded files etc as needed. I did have to go online to WD for some downloads to finish the process. I didn’t realize this at first and contacted support.
