This 2 TB Ultra is so easy to have. You don't need batteries as it gets that to your desktop or what ever your working with. I used it to take folders off my old Desktop, and it got everything I put on it with a lot more space to work with. When you plug it in to a Desktop, or a portable unit it comes on immediately. I love how easy it is!!

This is so helpful as a way to save my data and backup my information beside the cloud. It's easy to use, light weight and holds a lot of information.

I’ve used Western Digital many time in the past. This compact hard drive fits perfectly in my briefcase and function great. I’m storing all my picture and documents in folder to keep them need and organize. This allows me to keep my laptop clear of rarely used files.

This isn't a SDD nor is it formatted for a Mac, but I didn't really notice much of a difference in speed when I used a SSD type external drive on my M1 MacBook Air. It was fairly simple to format for a Mac (under disk utilities app on any MacBook), and I got 2TB of storage for HALF of what 1 TB cost in a SanDisk SSD. So I'd say this is a lot of bang for the buck, especially if you get it on sale (I did). And a side bonus: It matches the silver color of my MacBook Air M1, and fits in my case that I already have. You can get similar cases from Buy for about $10. 2 TB is a must-have for photographers!!

Works great as described. Purchased it for the security encryption with my sensitive data. Excellent price for 2TB! Works with Windows or Mac! Small in size for easy travel.

This drive is very easy to use with windows operating system, Basically plug and play, data transfer is insanely quick, I used the drag and drop method. I gave it 4 stars because I’ve had durability issues in the past with this brand.

This is a great ultra passport 2 TB storage unit. It will hold your photos, music, videos, etc. you can get one with 4 TB storage unit. Also, I highly recommend this product. You will not be disappointed. It comes in a couple other different colors, but I prefer silver.

This review for: WD - My Passport Ultra 2TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive - Silver Bought this for a friend after his laptop died and I needed to back up his hard drive. I appreciated that it has a usb c cable but also has an adapter for a full size USB port. I went for the ultra version because of the extended warranty because I'm not sure how often this will get used so I wanted to make sure that it was going to be reliable for when they did use it. Hardware encryption seems a little gimmicky just because I'm not sure how the implementation works if you are using the drive with multiple devices.

Great storage device for my files. Its easy to use and has a lot of space in it.

The HDD is very fast and solid. I bought it because I wanted to back up my computers. The included USB adapter came in very handy to use with older computers which don’t have USB-C. My only complaint would be the material it’s made of. It’s a rather thin plastic that raises durability concerns. I haven’t had any issues with it up to this review.

[Employee of bestbuy] So first off i use this as a backup drive for my gaming rig, and for an HDD it is very fast in transfer. I back it up every sunday and it carries all my info and data, and has a nice compact and durable case. The software for passwords is also very user friendly.

I purchased the WD My Passport external memory to clean up my Samsung Galaxy flip fold 2 phone. It is very easy to use with my phone and my MacBook.

This HD is very tiny. It will fit in your pocket. It looks bigger on the photos. Perfect for traveling but easy to misplace. I recommend a bright color
