I like the hard drive. Its performance is good and easy usability

I have always used the WD passport hard drives and have always had no issues. My daughter had another brand portable hard drive and it failed. This one was on sale so I bought it for her. It works great and she has no issues with it.

It does what is suppose to do. It's nice. Small. Easy to use

I highly recommend this brand of external hard drive. Because it's so easy to use and fast. And it's pretty much compatible with everything.

I purchased this device so that I could back up a laptop computer and bring it to the geek squad for repairs. I found the product in clearance and was able to save money and buy a product with more capacity than I intended!

All of my previous external drives were Seagates to this point. One of my two current Seagate drives decided to go wonky, so I thought trying a different hard drive brand would be a good idea. The 1TB Western Digital drive was competitively priced along side the similar sized Seagate, but I was swayed by the description of the backup software that came bundled with the WD. I've been using Seagate Manager for several years, and have become very accustomed to setting up scheduled backups, daily, weekly, etc. Very easy to use, but I'm running an old version of the software. Again, the new WD backup software intrigued me. So I purchased the WD drive. I had the drive up and running quickly on a usb 3.0 port and it worked fast as expected. What DIDN'T work great was the software. WD claims that it performs historical, incremental back-ups - but after several tests I could not get the software to backup recently changed files in "watched" directories. Very frustrating. In addition to the inconsistent incremental backups, I found that the files backed up on the WD drive could not be copied/pasted right off of the drive and used. Instead it appeared that they had to be acquired/exported by using the software. I have to admit, at this point I didn't spend much more time investigating the software. I abandoned it. I tried using the Seagate software on the WD drive, but Seagate software ONLY works on Seagate/Maxtor drives. So lo and behold, I went out and purchased another drive: a Seagate 1TB external which works with the proven software - and the 1TB WD is now used to store monthly backups that I take off-site. Still used - but not as I initially intended.

Bought this to backup videos, music, and other hard drive data. Very easy plug and play and a great value for the price point I got this for. I would recommend this to anybody with lots or very little experience.

I am using this drive for storing TV shows from my Dish Network receiver, and it's awesome! It's on 24/7 and I have had no problems whatever. Installation was, literally, a no brainer. I would recommend it to anyone.

It was easy to set up and came with more programs than I thought it would. It also connects online to playstation. I have not used that part yet, but I love the size and crisp picture from Netflix an Hulu!!

This item protects my documents from being lost forever in case my laptop crashes. I consider this an excellent choice. Easy to install and use, even for me.

I have always wanted to buy one of the portable Western Digital My Passport hard drives, after continuously putting it off. So after I had finally developed the need for one, I bought it and I am so glad that I did. With the USB 3.0 transfer speeds, I could not be happier to have bought this, and I know that it will last for a long time. I still have a Western Digital external hard drive from over 5 years ago, and it still works perfectly. Would definitely recommend!
