Works good connected to computer or through my iPhone. Not so good backing up my computer wirelessly.

I wanted a wireless drive for my Microsoft Surface. So I bought this drive with "wireless" in mind, i.e., I don't have to attach a cord to it!!! Well, it did not need a cord, but it took over my internet access!!! First, this drive DOES NOT SHOW in MY COMPUTER!!! Second, it only shows on my network. So, using it as HD to put my photos then have Photoshop access it is not possible, I have to download the photos to my HD. Duih!!! that's an extra step I don't need and don't want. Third - I have to use it to access the internet. It's just so incovenient. Fourth - Don't even think of having One Drive or Dropbox connecting to it. Oh, it will say it can connect, but you cannot see your items. The items stay on your OneDrive and Dropbox, not downloaded to this drive. So, what's the use. I don't recommend it to anyone. I should have returned it. But I ended up keeping it because I got so busy, I ran out of time.

Everything work except the reason I bought it. does not remote outside network as FTP

This should be an easy hook up and up load and download which it was not. Returned the item

Good idea, poor execution, bad customer service, WIFI works some times then all lights flash and connectivity is lost, upgraded firmware with the same result. The drive came with the wrong label in the back and now WD refuses to accept the returned drive (I did not modify the drive in any way). I have many WD products and have been a happy customer until now, I will not purchase a WD drive again in the future

The concept of My Passport Pro is pretty cool however I don't think WD was ready to release it just yet. I "transferred" all the data from one of my flash drives to My Passport pro and proceed to format the flash drive thinking all my files were saved on my new Wireless Passport Pro. Files were there but they weren't readable. I end up spending money buying a software trying to retrieve my lost data. 3 days and $100.00 later I have been able to retrieve 1/3 of my stuff :/ I DO NOT recommend this product!!

Has some problems with auto uploads from SD card. But product is ok

This is great in theory and on paper, but OH GOD, is the execution just terrible. The app is un-usable. It CANNOT stream full HD video, but the worst part is that it stays stuck on whatever video you're trying to stream no matter what you're doing. It constantly gets interrupted for no reason while you're trying to download off of it. And the app is just slow and needs to constantly be refreshed to reflect any changes you've made to it. I've checked for updates and the are none. What a failure of a device.

this is really a piece of junk. it requires a dedicated wi-fi network. it connects to your network with it's own wi-fi channel. this is annoying because you have to connect to the wi-fi channel to access anything on the drive. in addition, even when I didn't want to access the drive, my computers kept trying to connect to it and I wouldn't be able to go online.

Too many hiccups. Issues with the SD card connection. Just not reliable for pro use.

I spent $140 for this. It was working for a few months I was using it, but the lights on the unit started blinking at the same time. The unit doesn't connect to my machine. Tried resetting but that didn't work either. I can just kiss my $140 goodbye.

This drive is not so good. Very unreliable connection with wifi. I don’t recommend.

Wireless isn’t very reliable. Works great with cable but that’s not the point.

Still trying to figure out how to use this to save storage from my phone- confusing. And want it to work better- it’s to kate for a refund - so I will keep trying to figure it out- but was not the product I meant to get - mostly my error- product it fine.

The battery on it also has never lasted near the amount advertised. You can set it up with PLEX media server but if the battery doesn't last you long then there really is no point. I regret buying this as I did not know i couldnt' charge and use it at the same time.

This hard drive is beyond terrible. WD should be ashamed of themselves. It won’t backup anything except for your phone. I bought primarily to back up my PC. After 9 hours of it telling preparing backup, it was still not doing anything. Taking this garbage back.

Instructions not clear. It seems easy to use but no so.

Software is the problem. Doesn't play a lot of files

I could never reliably backup large iPhone videos to this drive over wifi. Returned it and got my money back.
