Great price, solid product, easy setup, works well. Haven't tried it on a long trip with battery only, yet.

After returning my DJI hard drive I purchased this travel drive. I am extremely happy with the easy of use. It took only seconds for my pictures to upload to the drive. Save me time and space. I will definitely buy this again.

It worked really well after setup. But definitely need to follow instructions. It is not what I'd consider intuitive. Great for transferring pictures and video from cards thought. Much better than my Rav power Wi-Fi thing.

Easy to use and configure. The only issue is that when you have a pw on the drive, when you try to connect, it doesn't respect the password everytime, the workaround is to reset password.

I use an iPad exclusively these days and don’t want to eat up all my storage on my iPad. This is awesome because all you need to do is plug the sd card in and all your images are safe and sound. Or you can have them auto download via connection (WiFi) between your camera and the HD. Nice that the HD can also be used as a portable charger if needed

The My Passport Wireless Pro 2TB arrives with an instruction card showing a small number of unintelligible icons. And nothing else. Professor Google did produce a downloadable owners manual, but that, for all its volume, is scant help. What the user needs to know (how to turn it on, how to tell it what to do, how to know if it has uploaded pictures from an inserted SD card, how to connect the unit to your phone or computer) has to be scraped together from snippets of phrases scattered throughout the manual. Perhaps the device is intuitive to some, but not to this user who has been working with Windows computers (and, later, Android smartphones) for three decades. The wireless connection is painfully slow, once it is working. The wired connection makes it look more like a normal external drive. However, there is very little to indicate whether an SD card inserted into the slot has or has not uploaded photos from a camera. Its utility should be high - as photos can be backed up in the field in the absence of a computer (as various photos online indicate). The security of knowing whether that has happened seems not be high on the priority list of the designers of the software on which the device runs. The operation should be (and possibly is) quite simple. The instructions (such as they are) do not provide assurance that that is so. For those familiar with its operation, I am sure it is a worthwhile investment. For others, the value must be offset against the time it will take to figure out how to use it.

When I first got the drive I was a bit confused about the various methods of connecting to it. The app for my iOS devices worked good. I think it was the the fact that it can create it's own wifi hotspot that had me a bit confused; it will also connect to home wifi. Once I figured it all out I have been very happy with it... It consistently works very well!

This wireless hard drive is amazing. Especially with a built in Plex server. We took it on a 10+ hour road trip and everyone with a device could stream whatever movie they wanted to. It fit my entire library of movies. The only slight downfall is that it’s not powerful enough to transcode on the fly, so you have to store videos already transcoded on it.

I returned the 4TB version of this drive because it was insanely hard to configure and setup and then the unit would not charge. So far, things are working well with the 2TB version. It is a little weird that you can't charge it and use it either wirelessly or when plugged directly into your laptop. Otherwise, it seems to be working well so far.

    Excellent Alternative to Wire Connections

This device is a dream come true, especially when it is at 2 TBs. The wire connection works fine. However, the great difficulty was that there were no directions as to how to hook up the wireless connection - separately from the wireless network one uses at the same time. I had to wind up calling the website help desk to find out how to do this. I asked the HD representative why were these instructions not on the documents with the product. They honestly stated that the company did not want to put these instructions with the product and did not give a good reason for it. Typical with these companies who offer the technology, but don't have the solutions ready with the product.

This is exactly what I wanted. The wifi connection is very stable...even with the MacBook though it says to plug in with the USB cable, it does work with the wireless connection just fine. It's quick and the battery life is good - though I haven't really used it too much to really see how long it lasts. Highly recommend it if you use GoPro or Drones

Weathers good, I rush out of my house to get some golden hour drone footage and when I arrive at my spot, my Micro SD card was full and I forgot to bring my spares. Luckily I had this in my camera bag and was able to backup my card and get some flying in. I think this is a must for all photography/videography enthusiast. Especially if you travel! I was debating to buy another expensive fast SD card or get this and I'm glad I went with this. The only reason I'm giving this 4 star's is because the App is horrible! But the ability to back up your cards without carrying a laptop is AWESOME!
