This was brought to use with the XBox One to give extra storage space. It's been a great doing just that. My hubby has been able to load a lot of his games onto this and free up space on the XBox.

Good news, mine was still under warrenty when it died. Bad news, the replacement drive was dead on arrival. WD issued me another RMA, so for the second time I have to go through the trouble to return this replacement drive and wait for several more weeks to get a hopefully functioning drive. I have 5 Seagate 6TB drives that are still going strong well beyond the warranty period. I will never purchase another WD product.

Purchase in 2016, worked fine until Nov 29, 2018 last back up. Says it doesn't recognize the unit. Switched USB and still same thing. Geek told me I needed to bring it in. I will not purchase a WD again.
