Great hard drive! Used as a replacement for a drive that failed in my RAID. Most importantly, this drive uses the CMR standard which is a higher quality method of saving data to the drive. Definitely worth paying the extra $$ for a CMR drive if you will be using this in a NAS/RAID system.

Bought 2 for home server network. Works great with WD WiFi network drives. Good value.

I purchased 2 of these as I am repurposing an old windows pc into a media/surveillance server. So far so good. Hoping they last for a long time.

6TB, what else can I say? Large storage, a solid Drive, I have 6 of them running in my NAS and need to replace two more 4TB. So far very reliable, no errors.

Bought 4 of these for my Synology NAS. So far read/write speeds are great. No issues out of the box. I would highly recomme d.

I needed a replacement drive to replace one of my two 6Tb drives that failed out of warranty. Funny how that happens right when it ends! Since these MyBook Duos look for real WD drives, I had to get a WD Red and this fit the bill perfectly. I opened up the case, dropped it in, and fired up the WD utility to let it rebuild the raid1 mirror. Sure, that part took hours, but I let it go overnight and now it's all set. Hopefully it will continue to go for another 2 years without issues.

Great nas drive. No issues after installation. Installed in drobo as a 5th drive and it works great.

This is a reliable upgrade to my server and it matches other drives in the raid setup.

I have bought several of these for my four Drobos and these are the best for them. The y hold up the best. I have upgraded them from 3 to 4 to 6tb as needed.

I bought 4 of these to run in my QNAP NAS. After reading the reviews, I was hoping to get CMR drives but sadly they were SMR drives. You do not want an SMR drive in a NAS. Currently WD has a Law Suit filled against them for not telling customers that they are using SMR tech in their NAS drives vs using CMR. I gave this a 1 star review because Best Buy does not list this. I had to buy the drives to find this out. The order process with Best Buy was great and easy to work with but having more information about things like this would be nice.

Immediately returned once I realized that they were not CMR drives. Not Best Buy's fault that Western Digital tried to sneak some SMR drives into their Red NAS line.
