    This hard drive is meant to be a network attached storage drive but can be used as a stand alone drive in laptops. It runs quiet is an intellidrive that the rpm's range from 5400 to 7200 depending on the load. It 's fast and responsive, and runs cooler than the average drives. performance is great and best of all the price was around $78.00 for the 1TB 2.5 inch drive.

    Haven't had any problems, was able to get large storage volume for NAS. Compact and efficient.

    Using as an external drive (put in a custom housing) for my Apple TV library and it works great. Runs a little hot but should be fine for a long time
