Immediate Improvement to Cellular Signal

My cellular reception is typically low near & in my home. Also, I travel quite often and some areas do not have strong cellular reception which can be a problem because I rely on my phone for my job.
The weBoost Drive booster is the answer to my problems. I was able to setup the device pretty quickly and I immediately noticed an improvement in cellular reception on my iPhone. Calls are clear, and network bandwidth is consistently higher than without the booster enabled.
I recommend the weBoost Sleek Cellular 4G Booster. It will definitely improve your mobile life.

Does exactly as advertised and well I might add. I personally will search out other options (or cellular provider). I did not like the fact that you have to register this booster (maybe all such devices?). It just did not sit well with me. Next, I did not like the DIY install. It is very simple and they make the instructions very easy to follow. Nonetheless, in today’s wireless world I did not like that I had to drape cords through a door and under my seats. The unit is VERY well built and feels like it will last. During my testing time, when engaged the unit did help. Again, I did not like that the phone had to be in the holder to achieve the boost.

Do you ever take a trip between major cities, spend some time on your phone, streaming music, or trying to keep the kids entertained on their devices with your hotspot, and you pass through that small area where you inevitably drop signal? Dropped calls are a pain, wireless internet that doesn't work is a pain, and kids on iPads without internet are...not as cute as they could be.
That's where the weBoost Drive Sleek 4g comes into play.
The Drive Sleek is a small booster system that works well with smartphones, thanks to how it's designed. You have an external antenna that you mount on your roof or trunk, a device cradle that mounts to a magnetic vent mount (but is compatible with other magnetic mounts), a small module that controls the whole thing you can place under a seat, moulding, or in your trunk, and everything is powered by a cigarette lighter adapter with an USB port on it.
Setup and installation is simple. I installed it in both a Dodge Stratus sedan and a Chevy Cruze sedan. Cables go together with push fittings and are long enough to run where you don't see them. I placed the antenna on the trunk lid of both vehicles; the cable is long enough to reach the roof of most anything you see on the road today, including semis. It's also easy to move between vehicles.
Using the Drive Sleek system is very, very simple. You plug in the power, you place your phone in the cradle. Done.
How well did it perform? On Verizon wireless throughout the eastern Kansas City metro area, I got a 5-10dB signal increase on my iPhone 6s and a 15-25dB signal increase on my Moto Z Play. In a dead spot I frequent (my child's school), the bomb shelter of a basement they have attenuates the LTE signal normally to barely usable on both of my phones - under 4 mbps average on each one with pings ranging from 90 to 250 ms and 10% packet loss, to a very usable 10 mbps average on the Moto and 25 mbps average on the iPhone with pings ranging from 35 to 95 ms and no packet loss over 5 minutes.
There are a couple of drawbacks I found in my testing, however. While the signal strength increase was terrific, it only worked when the phone was in the cradle. The only problem with this is the FCC warning about increased signal exposure if you use your phone while in its cradle, so you'd need to use a headset or your vehicle's hands-free capabilities. The cradle itself was also slightly difficult to use, as it uses a spring-loaded mechanism to hold the phone in place by squeezing in on the top and bottom. Also, it only supports one device at a time, so for those with capped data plans per line and not in a pool, plan on switching out who's phone gets the cradle.
All in all, this is something I recommend to the road warrior and also to those that have carriers who may not have the best coverage around town. Some design changes for wire routing and the cradle would up the score to 5 stars, but I still can recommend it for most people who need something like this, especially since it's very easy to install.

Didn't see the improvement I expected

I commute about 70 miles to work and some of the areas have weak AT&T coverage, so I thought I'd try this booster. After using it for a couple of weeks, I'm not sure it's really helping in my situation. There are several areas during my drive where my phone shows only 1 bar and I sometimes (but not always) lose calls. Using the booster, I didn't notice any increase in the bars on my phone which I had expected. I didn't lose any calls during my few tests, but then I don't always lose calls without the booster. I did do several data transfer tests with and without the booster and really didn't see any difference in the speeds either. So, that's why I'm left wondering if it's really helping.
The documentation with the booster was clear and easy to follow, and the installation for my testing only took a few minutes. If you plan to permanently install and hide all the cables it would take some extra time. The antenna is externally mounted and magnetic, so that would only be a problem if you have one of the new aluminum body cars. They recommend just running the antenna cable down through the door seals and closing the door on it which did work just fine. However, I'd be a little concerned about the long-term affects of breaking the door seal and getting moisture inside.
The booster and cables can be concealed under a seat and then you just run power from the cigarette lighter and then the wire to wherever you want the cradle. It comes with a magnetic vent mount which worked pretty well. The cradle expands vertically and clamps down on your phone, which also worked very well. It easily and snugly fit my Note 5 in its case. I tested my phone in the cradle without the case, too, just to see if that made any difference with the signal but it didn't.
I'm sure it won't hurt to have the booster, but I'm still a little puzzled why I didn't see more signal bars or improved data speeds with it.

Good option for travelers

Over the past month I have been traveling from Indianapolis to Minnesota, via car, for business purposes. During that process I pass through areas of poor AT&T coverage. Also, in parts of Minneapolis like Maple Grove my 4G service deteriorates to one (1) bar. With the WeBoost Drive my cell phone reception has improved considerably in the poor coverage areas of Wisconsin and Minnesota.
On average I have gained one (1) or two (2) bars of reception and, as a result, have noted increased battery life with my cell phone. The mini magnet mounted outdoor antenna is unintrusive and easy to mount. Overall, the WeBoost system was fairly easy to install.
For those individuals who routinely travel through or to areas with poor cell phone coverage I think this is a good affordable option. Just keep in mind this device "boosts" an existing signal. If you find yourself in an area with no cell phone coverage this device will provide no benefit(s).

This booster performed beyond my expectations. Setup of this product was simple. I truly did not know what to expect; however, to my surprise this booster performs well and increases speed. Not only did it improve signals on the back roads that I take daily that previously left "dead zones" I am experiencing clearer and more concise communications. This comes greatly needed as I do a lot of talking on my mobile phone which is a true staple in my life.

For those who complain about "no signal," he weBoost does not create signals. It only boosts a weak signal, and it does do that as promised. The biggest negative is the connector site heating up so much. What would make it great is if it were wireless, thus overcoming the wiring issues and making for simpler installation. For those with very weak signal problems, the price is not that unreasonable.

It does work, but just gives a bar more if that. I was expecting a antenna for inside instead of a dock station. Works some what if phone is not placed in the cradle, but not as good.
Was hopping that it would give a bit more boost.
If you go into spots where you just lose service then this may help.
The cradle also goes from top to
Bottom of phone. So gets in the way of trying to charge phone or use audio cord.
Overall I do not recommend for the price.

Like others I tested first by driving through areas where I normally lose signal and drop calls. The WeBoost didn't eliminate all drops -- there isn't much a booster can do when a signal disappears entirely. But it made a noticeable and welcome improvement. Numerically, too -- I see a 10-15 db signal improvement.
Suggested improvements:
- A dimmer white LED (it's too bright at night if the cradle is in front of you
- More input from product designer/industrial designer...the appearance looks a little out of place in modern auto interiors. Maybe in trucks, but even truck interiors are getting pretty nice these days.
- Accomodate pbone cases with integrated "popsockets" ...right now they interfere and the phone falls out of the cradle
- Better cord management overall
The above kept it from being a 5-star product...but the important part is this: It WORKS.

I thought this was going to be something different than it is. I was thinking it would be something simple and turn your car into a 4g booster for all devices in the car. My version of it would have been better. This is only good for one device, you have to position the outside antenna on the roof of your car just right and feed the cable through the inside, depending on your car i.e a van or a truck where the back windows don’t open makes you have to feed it through another window, I don’t want a cable running down the side of my car. I did try it just to see if it works and drove in area I know that I don’t have the best service, the little boost I got doesn’t give me a reason to keep this on my car. Maybe if it was wireless and gave the whole car a boost in signal it would be something I would use. But in reality the places you drive that you might run into a bad signal, how long are you driving in that area? I will say if you plan on going on a road trip this can be useful, but for everyday use around your city or town no need for it.
