I purchased this for my wife who has tennis elbow issue. Hopping this will easy her pain, but no improvement after 5 days of use. Plus, one of the unit ran out of it's battery only after 15 min of use as the other one was running about an hour.

Let’s start off by answering the biggest question: “does it actually help?” My answer is yes.
I’ve been an athlete for the better part of three decades and eventually have grown to accept pain as a part of my daily life. Yeah, I feel better with heating pads, ice packs, massages, rest, the hot tub, etc but you end up just getting so tired of the repetition that most people just grin and bear it. This device, for me, will be like the others. It works well but the concept isn’t flushed out enough to make it worth my time completely.
Note before reading that if you have any big medical issues like pregnancy, heart issues, etc, you’ll want to double check the instructions or with a doctor that laser therapy is safe for you. Moving on, out of the box, the packaging is pretty normal, you get the device, about 20 sticky strips, a micro usb cord, and instructions along with the rubber band.
The device has three modes, that you cycle through by hitting the only button on the device. The first has no vibration, just lasers, the second is a vibration, and the third is a pulsating vibration. IMO the vibration settings are best since you’re using movement so heal the muscles while also drawing blood to the location with the lasers, increasing the effectiveness. Each power cycle lasts about 25 minutes or so and you unfortunately can only get around 3 uses out of it before needing to charge again, which takes quite a while to recharge, nearly 90 minutes itself.
You really only use the device in one of two ways, with the rubber band attached or with adhesive strips. The adhesive strips are double sided but can only get a few uses out of them. The package only comes with 20 as well, meaning that even with daily use, you’re probably spending money every two months to buy more adhesive if it goes on a large or hard to reach area like your thigh, neck, or back. If it’s an easier to use area like a wrist or forearm, the rubber band will do just fine but I’m always nervous that it’ll snap.
I game, work on a computer, and am on my phone 24/7 so trying this on my forearm and wrist has been the most helpful so far. It took at least a few days to notice the results but I honestly feel like it has helped, which is the biggest pro of all.
Pros:
Compact size
Seems to help
Cons: batteries last too short and take too long to charge. Not to mention that you definitely will need more adhesive in the future.
IMO this will work for some but not for everyone. Think long and hard as to where you’ll want to use this and how often before purchasing.

Right away I could tell this was going to be a great experience. The item is packaged very well. It comes with the laser therapy unit, an adjustable strap, 20 adhesive pads and a charging cable. You will want to charge it fully before the first use.
To charge the device, it uses a mirco USB cable. The light on the unit will change colors when fully charged. Now you are ready to begin your therapy. The adjustable strap included is primarily designed for use on the wrist or knee. If you need it to use it in other places you will need to use the adhesive pads. More on those later.
To turn on the unit you press the side button for 2 seconds. The first mode is laaser only, So the next press of the button after it is on will be mode 1. Mode 2 is the laser with a constant vibration, and mode three is the laser will pulsing vibration. All serve different purposes and work equally well for me.
The unit runs for about 30 minutes once turned on and will auto shut off. Here is one place I marked the review down…. There was no guide for recommendations of how long to use it for therapy. How long do you use this on your knee or wrist or back? Thankfully the unit does auto shut off after 30 minutes. But I would welcome some general guidelines for use with the unit.
The other reason for less than 5 stars is the need to purchase more pads. I have more pain in my back then I do anywhere else so I enjoy using it for that but I have to use the pads, and only 20 come in the box. Seems to be there would be a better way to make it more useable long term considering the cost of the unit up front.
Overall pretty happy and I do see a decrease in my pain after a session with this unit.

I have been using the WellsCare IASO Wearable for a few days now and have gone from skeptic to believer. I have a mild carpal tunnel and a persistent shoulder muscle soreness from college volleyball. The first time I used the WellsCare on my arm, I was a little doubtful and after 30minutes (the device auto turns off) I didn't notice any change. But (and this is important) after a few days of use, I did notice a reduction in pain and soreness. And I think that's the trick - you need to use this a few times to get a result.
Usage is straightforward. Fully charge the WellsCare IASO Wearable first and then using the included strap, you wear it against the part of your body in question. The strap is a little fiddly but attaches comfortable to hands, wrist, ankles, feet (tested all), and if you need to treat back paint it ships with sticky labels that attach to the IASO wearable and then stick to you. If you need more of the adhesive patch stickers, Best Buy sells the WellsCare stickers in packs of 40 for about $20.
Some general observations on usage. The instruction manual says there is an "alarm" when you turn it on, but it's really just a soft beep. It's super lightweight, I fell asleep with it attached via the adhesive sticker to my back. The vibration is very mild. On your hand or wrist, you may notice it, but elsewhere it's not noticeable unless you have it on your back and are leaning or laying on it. If you have the TV or background noise you will be unlikely to even hear the wearable vibrate. FYI there are 3 modes - vibration off, stead vibration, and pulse vibration. The IASO wearable charges via micro USB (wish it was USB C). Also worth knowing there's a charger cable in the box but no AC adapter which is not a problem as you can charge it off any phone charger or your computer/laptop.
Tip: The adhesives are single-use. So be careful on re-positioning it once you stick it to your back. I have been attaching it the morning, using it, then leaving it on all day (I don't notice it), and then reusing it again in the afternoon.

Being in my 40s and still very physically active is a challenge. I still play basketball, surf, and run regularly and the recovery the following day is not as easy as it used to be. I like the pain too sometimes because it reminds me that did something to my body vs. just sitting down; however I dislike the discomfort especially when I do my daily tasks.
I would drink glucosamine chondroitin for my joints, because I thought it helps ease daily pain in the long run. But this—this portable pain relief device is a wonder! I already have separated my shoulder and reconstructed my ACL from basketball. I used to just brave the discomfort of my shoulder or my knees—until I used this device.
After a 4-mile run, my right reconstructed knee swells, so I cannot fully bend it for a day after because it hurts. I tried this on and it eased the pain right after two sessions. The swelling is still there but I can fold my knees with less to no pain. My shoulder as well gets regular pain because of basketball and burst swims at surf, so I learned how not to sleep on my side. But after using this device on my shoulder, I can fully swing my shoulder and hear the joints move and NOT feel pain—like it loosens it up.
It’s so easy to use—operation is very simple, and it automatically stops at the suggested 30 minute session. The instruction booklet is there, more for me to understand what-not-to-do, but not how to use it because it is very straightforward.
I honestly do not know the science behind this. I do not want to read up on it because it might just spoil it for me—it works for me and I don’t want to know how or why. As long as I can easily use it, because it easily sticks over my shoulder (with the adhesive) or wrap the band around the side of my kneecap to focus on my painful joint. It helps me a lot. Because our 6-year old still likes to be carried and the 9-year old wants to play rough. I want to be able to keep doing this with them and still do my sports. I am glad there is such a pain relief device such as this.

Regrettably, the product did not do anything for either my wife or me. I have a longstanding shoulder problem with soreness, and did not get any relief. My wife has chronic chest pain from a medical condition, as well as chronic hip pain from a broken hip and surgery. She did not get any relief in either area.
I can't say that this won't work for anyone, but would say buyer beware, and be sure to have a good return policy when you purchase and try it.

so i have bad pains in my ankle. i used this and it helped ease the pain when i used and even for a bit after. normally i am in constant pain about a level 2-3 just sitting or laying down on the back part just above my heal on the inside. i used this with the strap, was tricky to get it in place but felt the strap would also give some pressure. and after about 10 min i noticed my foot was not hurting as bad. could still feel it a little when i would move ankle around. after i think 15 min or so i noticed the device shut off. so i turned it back on and did another cycle. from that i did not feel pain and got in bed and slept without pain. following day as i walked around and stood eventually pain came back and again when got home repeated.
it get warm but not bad at all. i noticed the area it was at was a little sweaty. you have 3 options. just the infra red light, the light with a constant message, or the light with a gradual message that would come and go. i ran it with the constant message.
it comes with 20 sticky pads so you can place were you want if the watch style band wont work. like neck, or back etc.
overall so far i am glad to have this device. just use it for a bit. you probably wont get instant results. but after a little bit it seems to help out.

Small Unit, Big Relief

I wanted to try this unit as an alternative treatment for some forearm & knee pain. The forearm pain is caused by mouse/keyboard overuse and the knee pain is a recent LCL sports injury. I don’t want to overuse NSAIDs, so I thought this would be the perfect time to try a cold laser option.
On the plus side:
- The WellsCare IASO unit is super easy to operate. There is one USB charging cable & one button on the unit to operate. It takes about 1 hour to fully charge and holds about two-to-three 30-minute sessions. It alerts you at about the 20-minute mark & automatically powers off at 30 minutes. It also alerts with frequent beeps when the battery is running out of juice. The WellsCare site has a 5-minute comprehensive video if you don’t want to read the little manual included in the box: www.wellscare.net/howtouse
- Forearm pain: I’ve used the unit in different spots from elbow to wrist for a week now & notice significantly less pain. There is a little heating action, so that may be helping as well. I’ve varied between the 2 massage options (constant or pulse). The massage action is very mild & almost unnoticeable after a few minutes.
- Knee pain: I only used the unit a few times (without massage) and my knee pain is completely gone. It was a fresh injury, & I had no previous problems in that area; so it’s possible that it was going to heal quickly on its own anyway, but the pain was very prominent before using the unit, & now I’m back to 100%.
On the downside:
- It would be nice if the USB cable included a wall charging adapter. (Some units come with a charging cradle.) A computer or device with a USB port isn’t always available to charge the unit, especially when traveling.
- The wrist band needs some work. A Velcro strap would make it much easier & faster to position & re-position especially when working with one hand. The plastic band is cumbersome & flimsy.
Overall, the unit itself is simple & effective, but the accessories could be improved.

This is a very interesting device. One that’s supposed to use low level lasers to reduce inflammation, reduce pain, and increase blood flow. My wife has suffered from chronic upper back pain for a very long time so we were very eager to try this device out.
Out of the box the device is very unassuming. I wasn’t very impressed right away given It feels fairly cheap in the hand because of its light plastic build. The power button is mushy and the fact that they chose to use micro usb instead of usb c makes it already feel old.
You also get a strap (that broken within days) and a pack of very sticky patches to use anywhere on your body.
The instructions are almost non existent. It just says charge and place where you want pain relief. Given that this is a medical device I feel like a little more effort should have gone into instructions, like how often to use, when to use the different modes, etc.
Actually using the device is fairly easy, you stick it on and turn on the mode you want. There is vibrating modes, though it’s so low intensity I’m not really sure what the benefits are. It will go through its cycle and auto shut off when it’s done. My wife has been using for a week or so now and says that she does feel like it’s helping release localized pain.
Apart from the cheap feeling build and poor instructions my only other problem was the battery life and battery indicator. It will only last about two cycles before needing to be recharged and since there is no battery indicator, there is no way to tell how much charge you have.
Overall I think there is promise to the medical aspects of this device, though I think the presentation could have been thought through a little better.

Interesting Concept with some Flaws

I suffer from chronic pain in my neck and back and shoulders. I also have issues with my wrists from having a desk job and typing all day. So I was excited to see a product that might help with that pain that I experience. I will start by saying that it does work for some bouts of pain, but not everything.
On my wrists, this worked very well, it definitely lowered the pain level and my wrists felt great after. Also on my elbow it helped quite a bit with some muscle tension. On my neck.... eh? It was ok, it didn't help that much but a little bit, but my neck is very stubborn. This device is hard to use on different areas of the body with the adhesive they provide. For me, it doesn't stick that well, maybe it's user error.
Also, the bracelet they provide is very weird in design. It does not clasp very well and I find it just randomly falling off because the clasp comes loose. I have tried fussing with it, but it has a mind of its own! It definitely needs a redesigned bracelet for it to be very useful.
The battery life is good, lasts about an hour before a full charge so you can get a few uses out of it on different body parts before a charge is needed.
I also wish for the price you got two of these, it would be a lot more useful to have 2 to target two areas at once.
Perhaps a newer revision of the product in the future will yield better results, but for now, if you are desperate for pain relief and willing to try anything, give it a shot, it's not for everyone, but a interesting concept none the less.

The WellsCare - IASO is a great portable massager that can be taken anywhere you go. I really was hesitant that a device as small as the WellsCare - IASO could provide pain relief, but it really has served ease things a bit.
In the Box, you get the device itself, a wearable arm band, adhesive patches, and the manual. The adhesive patch is great for the shoulder area and even the lower back. They WellsCare - IASO had multiple settings that range from laser, pulse and laser, continuous vibration and laser. I’ve tried it more in my wrist area since I’m typing on a computer daily and it has really helped out a lot.
The WellsCare - IASO is great. It won’t replace a real massage, but it did help ease the pain. Great little massage to have.

My wife has had a lingering knee ligament pain that doesn’t seem to want to get better.
I wasn’t sure what to expect with the wearable laser from WellsCare but figured we would try it.
Here are my observations.
We charged it till it turned green initially.
The instructions were not clear on how long to keep it on but the wearable turns off by itself after a set time (didn’t keep track on the actual time) so at least it takes the guess work out.
It comes with a elastic wearable that the little laser item fits into. It also comes with a packet with 20 stickers (that you attach the wearable to skin).
As far as settings you hold it for a couple of seconds and a blue light turns on which signifies standby.
At that point you have three settings you press the button once and it’s laser only or two times or three times which has some vibrating and laser variations.
My wife used it on #2 mode.
The elastic did not work well on her knee which is to be expected as it fits on most other smaller parts of the body but knee was barely wearable for her but we didn’t want to break the elastic.
She then just kept it on by attaching it with the sticker only.
After about 10 minutes she told me that her pain had disappeared. After a few hours when I asked her she said that her pain had gotten noticeably better and that was after only one time.
This leads me to believe that the “cold laser therapy” or weak therapeutic laser might actually be a valuable tool to use in recovery or pain control.
So far I am impressed but my review is more of the initial portion of setting this up versus using it for months and reviewing.
I will recommend it.

The Wellscare IASO pain relief tool is one of the most unique products I've had the opportunity to try with the Tech Insider Network. The little puck uses 4 small "cold laser" emitters along with vibration to provide some pain relief for joint and muscle pain. This particular kit comes with one puck and a small armband to hold it, along with some adhesive pads which allow you to attach it to other parts of your body.
I deal with some moderate shoulder pain on a near-daily basis, for which I have been prescribed a maintenance NSAID to manage the pain. Given that long term NSAID use has downsides, my doctor and I have discussed not taking the medication 365 days a year, so I was really excited to try a different pain relief method. I found that the armband for the Wellscare IASO is not quite large enough to get fully around the back side of my shoulder, but the adhesive pads work well most of the time. When not using the arm repeatedly across a wide range of motion, the adhesive pads keep the puck in place. So sitting at a desk, or on the couch resting, the pads do a good job. When moving a lot, the pads lose adhesiveness quickly and the puck comes off. Using the band to keep the puck in place on the elbow or wrist works very well, though. I'm just a bit too large at 6' 250lbs to use the puck on my knees with the band, so keep that in mind as well.
As for the effectiveness at pain relief, the IASO device works pretty well. I've used it every night for a week for 30 minutes using the pulsing vibration + laser function (mode 3) and it does take the edge off the pain in my shoulder. I'm not having a particularly bad month in terms of pain, so the IASO device makes it easy to skip medication by keeping the pain under control. Honestly, that might be due to the warmth of the device itself (it gets pretty warm the longer you run it) but either way, it seems to do a good job.
Cost effectiveness is where this gets tough for me - a 3 month prescription for my medication is only about 13 bucks. Purchasing the IASO plus enough of the adhesive pads for a year worth of use would be orders of magnitude more expensive than a years supply of medication. However, being able to use this device to manage my pain and keep it under control for periods when I'm not quite at the level of medicating does seem to be a pretty good proposition. If you're unfortunate enough to be in the position to need something like this, but fortunate enough to afford it, I think the Wellscare IASO is a good option - maybe not life-altering, but definitely a quality of life booster.
