The Amazon Echo is easy to use. She responds each time to our voice commands--she isn't quite as smart as Siri though. For instance, we might ask her who,is leading the NFC South and she will not understand the question. Accessories for the Echo are expensive--we are having to buy just a few at a time. You don't get the full use of the Echo without these accessories.

Outstanding performance and easy set up..will buy more.

I bought 2 WEMO INSIGHT plugs for $50 each. The setup process was pretty easy being that this was my first time setting up a smart plug. After I got them working, I was prompted to do an update on them. The update took at least 20 minutes and when it was complete, my plugs no longer worked. I went through the setup process again but the plugs were not showing up in my wifi. After researching this online, I discovered this was happening to lots of people. The way to fix it is to hold down the reset button on top of the plug for 5 seconds while plugging it in. That worked but leaves me hesitant to do any future updates. Which brings me to this. I decided to try another brand of smart plug by TP-Link. They are not only $20 CHEAPER, but the setup process was just as easy if not easier. I can still set them on timers and with TP-Links smart plug I can even take a photo of the item I am using it for as the icon. I like that. To conclude, I will not buy a WEMO smart plug again, due mainly from the unjustified high price.

Works well. No hub required but does work well with Smartthings Hub. Rules can be set with the WeMo app but are limited compared to what can be set while using with a smart hub. Did NOT work with my 'WIFI MESH' network which automatically switches between 2.4 and 5.0Ghz. I had to setup the WeMo on a separate WAP on a steady 2.4Ghz only signal.

The app can do with some additional reliability. It's almost impossible to review this product without reviewing the app along with it. The app crashes quite frequently. However, when the app works, I get good data from the smart switch. The remote switch control works like a charm, though if that's what you want to use this for, there are cheaper alternatives.

These switches are very convenient for turning on and off lights, appliances and electronic equipment. What's nice is you can turn things on and off when you are away from home.

I am using the WeMo switch as a backup to a WOL solution to my home theatre PC and it works as expected. Only complaint is the APP is hideous.

Once again another simple to use connected product. On the pricey side but works a treat.

I loved this so much, I bought two more. I wish I had this bought these long ago. Occasional lags, but I fairly certain that could be due more to our wifi instead of the device.

Needed a firmware update right out of the box. After the update all the functions worked as described. It's nice to control it over the Internet.

I use this for my AC unit and it is awesome. I can turn my AC on before I get home and have my house cooled down. It's also great for monitoring how much energy its using.

Plugged this in to see what the TV and cable box cost while just sitting there doing nothing. Wow it's a lot about $60 a year. So have the insight set to turn off the power strip at bedtime and back on when I get home in the evening. Works perfectly going to buy several more for other vampires around the house. It has paid for itself.

I have two of theses switches and the both work as advertised. Was confusing at first but customer service answered all of my questions.

Heard about Belkin WEMO switch through a friend and asked for info from Best Buy rep. I am so satisfied I am buying a few more to control my lights automatically. I like being able to use my phone or other device to turn lights on/off as needed. Best of all, I can turn my lights on whenever I want to and it doesn't matter whether I'm home or not. I never have to walk into a dark home again.

This is my third device and now my mind is at rest when I’m out of the house knowing that all of my space heaters are safely turned off at home.

When it's working it works well. Was initially easy to set up but then I updated the firmware which caused the switch to go off-line. Had a very difficult time resetting everything up and for my wireless network to find the switch again. Beware of updating the firmware on any Belkin device if it is already working well with your network.

Only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is that the set up was a little cumbersome. I had to do a full reset of the outlet before I could connect with it. That's fine, but there were no instructions on how to do that - I had to look them up on line and that took about 20 minutes to locate. Other than that, works great.

App is so easy especially when gone all day, and I want the light on when i return home that way it's not dark and let's me know how much electricity I used!

Too big, already looks outdated, hinders the other outlet uses, did have to reset few times, would not purchase another one like this, but I purchase the newer slimmer model, I like it, but that one is horizontally very long. I like the enegry usage feature.

I bought this plug for my outdoor lights. I downloaded the app on my Samsung Android phone. I can now schedule switch on and off times. How long I want the lights to be on? It is also helping me to monitor my energy usage. I also receive the app notifications from the WeMo App.
