I always hate seeing 1 star reviews on products I'm interested in. I gave one start because the switch is so sophisticated yet Belkin chooses to develop a lacking rules based app. I bought this switch to alert me when my washing machine was done. The software only allows you to chose notify when the switch goes into standby but washing machines go into standby several times during a wash cycle. If Belkin would update their app to include the option to "Notify after so many minutes in standby" that would solve my issue. I tried the ITTT but was not impressed with their website and it was just to much trouble. I'd rather buy a new washer with the feature built in. Only 1 star because of people have been asking for a fix for this for along time. Even Wemo (Belkin) promotes this switch to notify you when your laundry is done.

Not bad could use some extra features built in. Takes some learning to setup. Be sure to view the We Mo website FAQ section.

This is a very good product. The only challenge is software updates were required on all 8 of the devices I purchased.

this is really convenient when paired with a Google Home, only gripe is I wish it also worked with Siri.

Love theses little things. Recently linked them to my Amazon Echo so I can turn groups of lights on and off at will. Also have three that I've programmed to come on at dusk and off after bedtime. If you don't have an Echo you can still turn them on and off with the free app however the app I'd only give three stars because now and then it doesn't detect a plug.

I have some of the older wemo switches and they're okay, but the reliability and technology of the new ones are much improved.

Wonderfully simple to set up with smartphone app. Pretty good wireless range, recently updated firmware helps.

This is the best product for a nightlight, you don't have to ever get up again onced your tucked in for the night! Easy set up and installation. Would recommend this to any one and the price point is really good as well.

The switch works well but required some help from Belkin tech support to get it up and running correctly. Would still recommend though.

I love the Wemo- I have one now but plan on purchasing more soon. Setup with my samsung Galaxy was a little frustrating and took longer than hoped but once I finally got it the product works great.

Does exactly what it says it does. Works reliably. Never had issues with any of our Wemo devices despite some other online reviews. We have connected this device to a window AC unit in our attic (mom and dad's master bedroom suite!). The Wemo app "works with nest" and wemo rules are stored locally = are NOT cloud or IFTTT dependent. For us, this is a money saver as our rule is "nest home turn ac on, and nest away turn AC off". Regardless of the thermostat settings on our attic AC (where there is no central air), it is not wastefully run if we're not home. This works for both short and long term trips out. The ability to enter your electricity rate is great to monitor your spending/savings. It also gives you a choice of how often you'd like email reports, or if you even want them at all. Neat feature, though the csv files attached aren't very intuitive. One may need some spreadsheet experience to make them any more useful than simply to satisfy your curiosity. Overal, quite happy and this is another device that could easily pay for itself if used to its potential. Current wemo total device count = 9 and climing. :-)

Love how well it works and how small it is. Definitely recommend for those want to convert home into smarthome.

I have my switch hooked up to my washer/dryer (gas) and was able to interface the app with If This Then That to get alerts when the wash cycle has completed (device enters a standby state). Quite helpful when the unit is downstairs and I am mostly upstairs. Also helps to turn off power when away for long periods of time.

Not only does the Wemo Insight Switch track my power usage, it also connects to my Amazon Echo and I can control it by voice!

I'm trying to decide which platform to go with for home automation. This one seems ok.
