Pro: Works every time. Mobile app works great, I used it to schedule lights on and off. Fairly easy to setup Con: Instructions leave a lot to be desired. I actually googled youtube and found very useful information for setup.

This is perfect for anyone who wants to keep track of how much energy they're really using. It's so accurate and helpful when I come home late and don't want to come home to a dark house. For the price, it does way more than I expected it to.

Works great. No issues. As advertised. Perfect solution for turning something on and off that is not convenient to manually turn on. The only con is that it is rather big; it can cover four adjacent outlets.

The WeMo Insight Switch is easy to setup and control. It also works with other home automation systems.

It is very easy for the use, you can turn on the lights away of house,. very important for the safety of the home.

This timer works like a charm. Connects to wifi and I can change the settings remotely. A little pricey but worth it.

This Wemo Insight plug works great. I got it priced matched from a competitor store which is why I also start my shopping with Best Buy. This Wemo is working great for me. The app allows me to turn my light off or on from my tablet or cell phone. It pairs very nicely with the Best Buy Insignia Voice Speaker. All i have to say is "Hey Goggle, turn off the light", and it does! Perfect!

My home is everything Wemo. I have switches, dimmers, plugs, cameras, etc. These outlets are perfect for anything you have that requires the use of an AC plug that you want to automate. This wifi switch works as designed when you fist get it; however, it will consistently loose connection and is EXTREMELY difficult if not border line IMPOSSIBLE to regain connection. If I was not using this for my hot water heater and simply using it for a light switch... I would have tossed it in the garbage long ago. You can regain connection but if you are using 3 or 4 devices to control the WEMO you should plan on AT LEAST 1 to 2 hours to get it reconnected. The thing is I have a WIFI controlled Garage door opener that is actually further away from the router than the WEMO is and it works 100% of the time every time with no connection issues... so I know it's possible to make a device that works... Unfortunately the WEMO dosent even come close to being a reliable wifi switch. I'm looking for other options.

I got this plug to get an idea of the cost for running my a/c - it gave a fair estimate - got a Google Home Mini during the holidays & linked it to this outlet - love how convenient it is

I had this for 5 days, it found a firmware upgrade, but it would failed every time, meanwhile the device could not be detected and the lamp plugged into it would not even get power, I have very good wifi signal so this is not the issue, it's going back to the store, wasted so much time, including in the store, I placed the order online for convenience when I showed up to pick the item up, the person at the counter kept on taking phone calls and orders meanwhile everyone at the line is waiting, poor service, best buy willow grove, pa

Works great! Got it because it works with google assistant and nest. Wish that it had a dimming feature as to I hooked it up to the lamp in our nursery.

I feel bad for anyone who bought these devices before reading google reviews on it. The devices does not connect to dual band routers (Which are most routers now). The WeMo software is extremely slow, buggy and unresponsive at times. I had to completely reconfigure my router to just 1 band under the old b/g band just to get it working. That's when I discovered the software issues. There is just no excuse, it feels cheaply made and poor software programming. The Router I use = Asus RT-AC66R 802.11ac dual band.

I bought it 1 year ago and it stopped working recently. I also can only have wifi control intermittently. When I'm away I try to turn on a light in the house, and it would only work 50% time. Other times, I can't get wifi access to it. Very unreliable. In contrast, the wifi thermostats in my house is >90% reliable. This product needs improvement.

Great product, installation is a breeze! I have been using 12 different wemo in my house.

As other reviews have stated - this item worked great for a couple of months but then one day it just stopped working. I couldn't connect to it via my cell phone or my tablet. I reset everything and started over and it worked for a day then lost it again. I wiped out everything (hard reset) and started over and it worked for a day and then lost all the settings again. I would not recommend this item.
