This is my second purchase of this product. It works better than the old timer I used to have since it will turn on at sunset everyday of the year without resetting every few months.

The outlet is very nice and connects directly to wifi without other boxes or hubs. Only minor complaint was initial setup which took 20-30 minutes because of several firmware updates.

Has a timer that I set up from my smartphone! I also can turn it off and on from my smartphone. Great for rainy days when my dogs are home alone. I just click and they hae light. Connected to my WIFI in minutes.

I have purchased a bunch of these (Insight) and Wemo Switches over the last 3 years. They work great. I recently hooked them up to a Insignia (Google) Smart Speaker. Now I an turn my lights / appliances on and off using voice commands. The energy consumption information on these is very useful. Unlike some other reviews, I have not had any issues adding more Wemo's to my existing network, or even switching over to a new WiFi.

I like the fact that they can be controlled from outside the home without needing a Smart Hub, as I have it connected to remotely reboot my Wink Hub when it gets stupid, which is thankfully very infrequent.

Pros: Plug and play. Do a quick wifi connection and plug in your electronic device for a simple to use tool. Connects with Wink to connect with Amazon Echo. Full home automation. Cons: None so far.

I really like this switch for controlling my a lamp in my home. It was very easy to set up and connect to my home Wi-Fi. I use the app on my phone which was again easy to set up. Great product!!!

i like wemo products. I like that I can have it on my washer and dryer and I'm told when they are done (if I am not inside). Still has odd wemo issues when remote (all of them do), but good product.

Good for automatically to turn on/off at sunset/sunrise or especific time, any lamp or appliance. Also easy to control at distance using a smartphone or computer.

I was very excited when I first purchased the wemo insight. However I soon started having problems with the app. After calling support they had me return it the wemo. The new one had the same flaky problems soon it would not run any rules at all. After spending days trouble shooting this it appears to have issues with my Samsung galaxy S3. If I use my nexus 7 solely it seems to work ok but if I create or edit any rules with the phone it quiets working. Belkin apparently has no plans to fix it.

I purchased this to remotely control several different items. It works like a charm. Once it is plugged in, it downloads firmware and is ready to go.

The promise of this plug is that in addition to adding smart functionality to traditional lamps, fans, etc, it also allows tracking electric consumption. This is handy and I enjoy getting the reports just because I'm a nerd. It's very handy for things like setting up notifications for when the refrigerator is running longer than normal, which may mean I left the door open again. Also, I have another unit set up to notify me when my lawn equipment batteries have finished charging. The device can give you insight into energy consumption, but if you're buying this to save money, remember it will take an awfully long time to make up the purchase price in energy savings. That said, it's a great device and highly recommended if you like more information and control over your electrical stuff. One star off because I often have to reset up wireless connections anytime the device is unplugged or the power fails. Also, it defaults to off. I have one on the refrigerator, and I would much prefer it default to ON. Fortunately, the app can send notifications and you can power on from the app, assuming it reconnects to WiFi without intervention. Maybe I wouldn't recommend this on refrigerators or freezers if your line in power is flaky.

Was a little unreliable when I first bought Wemo switches but as time went on Belkin got the firmware and software right and now they work good all the time.

Initial set up was easy and we were able to connect it to amazon echo. There were a few times that connection was lost and Alexa could not identify the switch. A few bugs with the app were annoying at times. Most of the issues were short lived after updates were offered. We are using the app now and also have the smart plug configured with Alexa without any issues.

I really like the WeMo switch because it helps me control the tv time for my kids. It even allows me to switch on and off remotely via the iPhone app.

As a single product it is expensive for what it does. One needs to make the decision to make a whole house system to see real value of product(s).

Great gift for my Gadget Guy ...... and a great way to save money! Very easy to use and so great to be able to switch things on and off remotely rather than waste money and energy.

Much better size compared to the previous versions and better statistics to control your electricity usage. Reliable, dependable and effective are the key words for this product.

I am out and about a lot. This gives me control the lights while I am away. I can turn it on and off whenever instead of the predictable timer that thieves can probably time.

This is perfect for the devices that you want to handle whether at home or away, or even by a schedule and be conscious of what the cost is at the same time.
