This is the second Wemo device I've owned. It's great way to add a timer to a device or be able to turn something on from your cell phone. I plug a power strip into it, then plug 2 living room lamps into the power strip. Now I can tell my lamps when to come on and go off. I can even manually turn them on whenever I want to from anywhere with internet access.

Easy to set up. Just be certain to set up on same router as Google home and only on 2.4 ghz side of dual routers.

The app makes it easy to control whatever is plugged into this device. Schedules are easy to set and change from anywhere. The peace of mind of knowing that I never have to worry about whether or not I set the timer before I left is worth $50.

works fine with my amazon echo, but the wemo app needs lot of work. It is very buggy.

I really love this switch. Not only does it helps me automate my home, it also has the added feature of showing me my energy usage. Highly recommended.

It is cumbersome to set up but once setup it works like a charm. Using it as a timed switch and it works like a charm.

The WeMo Insight Plug is a very handy component for adding Alexa controlled devices to your home. This plug leaves plenty of room for being able to use the outlet below. The "Insight" part of this plug is actually electricity usage reporting through the app. It tells you how much energy is being used by the device attached to it. I have two of these in my home along with 4 of the standard WeMo Mini Smart Plugs. I prefer the Insight plug when I find it on sale for the same price or less than the mini plug.

Works well when properly connected. Great with Alexa. However sometimes it fails to connect to router.

I've found the WeMo extremely helpful as we leave town to remotely turn lights on either by schedule or on demand.

It works best on higher current devices. The device I'm using it on does not draw enough current for it to work properly. The Android app needs improvement because when I turn it Off the app often shows it is on when it is not.. The scheduling function works well and is my main reason for purchase.

This is our 4th WeMo switch, and we gave several as Christmas gifts this year. Easy to install and control AND compatible with Amazon Echo. Used three of them in a group to control our Christmas tree, Christmas Lights and a Village set up with programmed on and off times and the ability to command "Alexa, Christmas Lights On/Off". Very Nice.

Very decent remote controlled electricity consumption monitor. I used it on different circuits to size the consumption, and at the other times I am using it as remote (controlled from anywhere, including 4000 miles away) switch. You can define periods when it can be on and off, effectively making it into a timer.

Great addition to my other WeMo outlets. Easy to add to the app. It gives you a look at your energy usage as well as easy remote turn on/off capabilities! Only downside is that the firmware upgrade crashed it requiring a reset. Upgraded again and it crashed again... works fine on the old firmware so I just didn't upgrade it after I reset it the 3rd time.

Bought 2 of the Wemo Insight plugs on sale about one month ago. This is my third wemo plug purchase. They r super easy/ quick to set up!! I currently have my Living Room 5000btu air conditioner, and my bedroom 3000btu ac unit plugged into the insight receptacles. I use the remote access feature if the day is hot & humid to power on the AC’s around mid afternoon while I’m on the job site. The Insight model also monitors and displays energy usage and how long the unit has been powered up and also calculates how much $$$ Its costing. These plugs can also be controllrd with the Wemo bridge to be used as a part of Apple Home :) It takes literally 10 seconds to open app and hit power button. . by time I get home 2-3 hrs later it’s nice and cool inside!!! You can also set up specific “rules” for power on/off scenarios and/or set up a schedule to follow, kinda like a programmable thermostats.

This smart outlet blocks the other plug outlet. I bought it for ambient lighting above my cabinet and it would have shared the wall plug with my microwave but I can't plug both in at the same time because the WeMo is too big. It works fine from Alexa and from the dedicated app.

This product installed very easily. It was also easy to link to my Wemo app and to link to my Amazon Echo as well.

I use this switch for a lamp in our living room that is extremely hard to reach and turn on. With this device it makes it easy to turn on and off. Initial setup was a little buggy. I have an Apple Time Capsule as my wireless router. It took a few tries, but it finally connected.

Works perfectly. Easy setup. Just what I needed to remotely activate or deactivate your home electronics.

I have certain equipment at my job that needs to be preheated. This is save me so much time in the morning, all I have to do is open the app and turn it on an hour before I leave work and everything is up and running and ready for me when I walk in the door. It has worked every time. I will definitely be purchasing more.
