For example, when I enter the vicinity of my apartment building the lights turn on without me doing anything. They also turn off when I leave the area based off of GPS.

This did exactly what we needed. No more worry that the coffee pot is being left on all night long.

Also fantastic for automating holiday lights, including the covered porch area, where it stays year-round, not just seasonally, and is still working great after at least two years.

Great entry level plug for a smart home!
